God Determines Right and Wrong

After the fall, all of mankind inherited a sinful nature. Because of that sinful nature, without ever having do do anything good or bad, we are already condemned to hell (John 3:18). Jesus elaborated on that sinful nature and told us what comes from it: evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander (Matt. 15:19).

All the Israelites that were slaves for four hundred years possessed a sinful nature. Try to imagine being a slave without ever knowing what freedom is. All you know is being a slave. Along comes a deliverer to set you free. How are the Israelites going to handle this freedom, and more importantly how are they going to handle this sinful nature that now has the opportunity to be satisfied? And once that door is opened, how far does it go, and when does it stop? In order to keep the sinful nature in check, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments (Gal. 3:19). The people obviously needed guidelines to follow just to preserve their nation.

These same guidelines are for all of mankind of all nations, because man is still in possession of a sinful nature. These are the basics that determine right and wrong. And no matter what kind of sophistication man dreams up in perpetrating a wrong against another man, it can always be traced back to originating from one of the ten.

The Bible tell us that God is love (1 John 4:8). It also tells us that what fulfills the law is love (Rom. 13:10). Because Jesus is the only one to fulfill the law and we can't; that means are problem is that we can't love. Love is what God is ultimately after from us. The opposite of love is not hate. The opposite of love is pride. That's why the commandments are put forth in the negative....'you shall not.' They are meant to be a direct attack on our pride in order to reveal it. We are absolutely self-centered and God is absolutely others-centered. Yes, the Law is also a revelation of the character of God. God loves unconditionally and we love with strings attached. In order to be like God and love unconditionally, we need to get God inside of us so he can do the loving through us. We can't do it because we will always have a sinful nature until we physically die. God is the only one who can do it, and again, this is what he is after. Always remember; the Christian life is not hard to live; it is impossible to live; only Christ can live it (John 15:5). The law was given for many purposes, but ultimately it was to lead us to love. It was to lead us to the love of God....Christ (Gal. 3:24).

I sometimes wonder if God did not mean for the lost to be a source of entertainment for us. And of course the most frequent and most noticeable source of entertainment are lost politicians because they're practically knocking each other over in a sprint to get in front of a camera. The more I have to witness these court jesters, the more I am so grateful that I am not of this world. The latest hobby horse going on now is 'political correctness.' This is a tactic invented by lost politicians who think in their minds that they should be the ones determining what is right and wrong. And as of a result of them being so good at doing this; their greatest crown achievement so far, being imposed upon us, is the homosexual movement. What could be more of a public manifestation of rebellion against God than this? What could be more of a public manifestation of calling God a liar than this (Rom. 1:24-25)? How appropriate it is, that this is the face put on display before the world, that represents, not the people....but our politicians. We have homosexuality being imposed upon America in every way and in everything.

I was reading in Genesis the other day about Sodom and Gomorrah. What I discovered, which I never saw before, was the brazen attitude of the homosexuals towards Lot. I mean there was no wine, no candles, no getting to know each other first, not even a movie before; it was just bring them out so we can have sex with them. Gen. 19:4 says: 'Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom..both young and old..surrounded the house. They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them." I wonder, just how young was the youngest? Lot says to them in verse 7: "Don't do this wicked thing." Verse 9 says: '"Get out of the our way," they replied. And they said, "This fellow came here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat you worse than them." They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.'

According to my timeline this event happened just exactly about four thousand years ago. First, try to even relate to that long ago. You can't. Try to relate to one hundred years ago. Still can't. Does anybody notice any difference at all, in the attitude of the homosexual then, and the attitude of the homosexual of today? Absolutely no difference. "Who are you to tell us what right and wrong is?" "We'll treat you worse than them." The sinful nature back then is still the same one today. Man is no different than he was four thousand years ago. In the homosexual's mind of today just like it was back then, his problem isn't with God , but with the man who gets in his way, with the man who messes with his agenda. There is no regard for God whatsoever as if he didn't even exist. However he did exist as they very soon found out.

Approximately two thousand and sixty four years into the future, the Apostle Peter writes his second epistle referencing this event in Sodom and Gomorrah. He talks about how Lot was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men and how God rescued him, but condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly thereafter (11 Peter 2:6-9). Peter is giving a warning against the same type of lawless men who are coming in the last days mocking the second coming. This is what we have today. The lawless mock because like the rest of us, they can't relate to, or get a handle on how God deals with man within huge amounts of time periods. And in this particular case, this is a display of the patience of God, which is revealing the love of God. In the mind of the lawless, if God isn't coming back within their little lifetime of ninety years at best, or at least within the lifetime of the generation before them, then that means that God doesn't exist at all, and therefore we can mock him. The complete ignorance of the lost is absolutely and unbelievably astonishing.

It doesn't matter what efforts and tactics are implemented to get people on the homosexual bandwagon. It doesn't matter how many numbers they can accumulate. I guess the more numbers they can accumulate that agree with them, the more that makes it right. No, the more numbers on board aren't going to make it more right. God determines that, and he has already determined that. He still holds the same position today as he did four thousand years ago.

There is still a judgment coming, but it is not going to be like the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah in ancient times. This judgment is going to be for, and include all of the lost of the world. And this is so because all the lost of the world fall into the same category. This is the category of being spiritually dead. And it is also the category of still having the opportunity to come into the kingdom of God. This opportunity however, will only last until at either your physical death, or at the time Jesus comes back. Because man is dead spiritually, that means he needs to acquire a spiritual life. And the only life that is being offered out there is from God the Father. And the life he is offering is the life of his Son....Jesus. 1 John 5:11-12 says: 'And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.' A judgment is coming. And this judgment is going to be put forth to you in the form of a question. There is not going to be a video playback of all your sins for all the world to see. God the Father is simply going to ask you: What did you do with my Son?
