“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” (2 Peter 1:2 NIV)
New life blossoms in colors vibrant among green leaves…the tangy zest of spring nectar draws me close.
I inhale it deep and let the freshness burn my lungs; air singed clear by sun’s morning rays then mixed flawlessly with the scent of new blossoms. Oxygen so purely perfumed by God…too good to be breathed in by these ragged old lungs;
Lungs that have fueled words of anger.
Lungs that have fueled words of hate.
Oh, but by the grace…
Grace that allows me to take in His perfume of promise potent enough to change an exhale of anger and hate to one of praise.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)
Grace that can take a pair of ragged old lungs and make them sing.
Grace that can take a ragged old soul and make it new as spring blossoms.
