Revelation Realms (John 20:11-14)

“But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” Now when she had said that, she turned around, and saw Jesus standing there and did not know that it was Jesus.”

When Mary looked into the empty tomb of Jesus she saw something she had probably never expected to see – two angels, and they conversed with her! She also saw the risen Lord and got to speak with Him! Her day started out in grief and tears, but she stepped into a realm of the supernatural, and greater revelations than she had ever known before. There is something special waiting to happen in your life as you receive God’s Word for you today and believe for the same!

Peter and John had visited the tomb just minutes before Mary met the angels, but they did not see what she saw. There are realms of glory which only some step into, and we can see some of the reasons for this from Mary’s experience.

Mary was hungry for revelation. Mary came back to the empty tomb because she wanted answers. She was longing for Jesus, crying for further revelation and deeper understanding. Peter and John looked into the tomb and then went back to their homes (John 20:10), but Mary waited near the tomb although there seemed to be nothing to keep her there. Hunger and patience are a dynamic combination in the spiritual realm. Not too many believers are truly hungry for more of Heaven, and of the ones who are, few wait, persist and press in for the deeper realms of glory. Friend, God has told us in Jeremiah 29:13 that we find Him when we seek Him with all our hearts. There are realities of Glory which God is waiting to reveal and release to those who will press in to those realms through prayer and worship, and purpose in their hearts to find. Are you hungry for more of the Holy Spirit, of the supernatural, of the miraculous? Keep seeking! Mary stepped into the tomb again. She waited, and she was not going to leave until she heard from God. There is something awesome just around the corner as you continue to worship and pray, and as you continue to wait. It is so hard to wait but always so worth it. When Mary just waited, she had no idea that she would be stepping into the dimensions of glory. I believe her life was radically changed when she met those angels, and when she spoke to the Risen Lord face to face. Her mourning was turned into dancing and joy, as in Psalm 30:11!

She stooped down and looked again into the tomb. Revelation does not always come when we are at the top of the mountain but when we bend down low. It is quite often when we are in the midst of some extreme challenge and aware of (and acknowledging) our own limitations. Our hope of glory is Christ in us (Colossians 1:27). When we take our eyes off ourselves and fix them upon Him, He begins to lift us up to higher ground. We begin to see and feel and hear from His heavenly perspective, where He rules and reigns in power and might. We enter the revelation realm, hallelujah! The greatest moments of glory are when we bend down low and humble ourselves in the presence of Jesus, acknowledging Him as Lord and Source, and worshiping Him in spirit and in truth. God exalts those who humble themselves. (Luke 14:11 & 1 Peter 5:6). If Mary was willing to bend low, I want to be able to do the same. I want to fly to the stars! Dear friend, when Mary wept and grieved, she had no idea that something great awaited her. Whatever you have been going through, know that your situation of turmoil and tears is going to be the springboard for your total turnaround. The place of pain is transitioning into your place of power. God never brought into your life the painful thing you faced but He is turning it all around for His glory. You are heading for higher ground. He is increasing your faith, giving you strength and power, and filling you with His Spirit like never before. There is a warrior and a victor rising up who will never be hindered again, hallelujah!

“Dearest Abba God, I ask you to minister to Your precious child reading this message. Let any confusion or deception be broken off his/her mind and heart right now in Jesus’ name. I release the breakthrough anointing into his/her life and I declare that the turmoil is ended and turnaround is here. I call forth a spirit of Wisdom and Revelation even as they agree with this prayer, and I release those realms of glory you have for them, higher ground and heavenly encounters of various kinds, by the power of the Holy Spirit and in the mighty name of Jesus, amen & amen!”
