A Review of If Good Men Do Nothing
If Good Men Do Nothing is a book that grips readers’ attention as they start reading it. The author, Joey Parker, narrates a tragedy that happened in the family of Hughes.
The author featured Van Hughes as the main character in the book. Van was a devout Christian who observed Biblical principles by putting them into practice. He was a Deputy Sheriff at Graves County, his faith was not hidden; everybody knew Van as an uncompromised Christian cop. Justice must prevail was the motto of Van, the attitude that led him into serious troubles, and he found himself in confrontation with the big and ruthless powers of the county.
God used Van’s attitude and unfortunate circumstances that surrounded him to build up the young man. Many people in the book admired Van, and some of them surrendered their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5: 16 KJV).
I strongly recommend this book for every Christian to read.
