The world is a busy place and so are the people in it. Everyone including christians. We've all at one point or another voiced how that we don't have enough time. Time is of essence. There is so much to be done and so little time.
We complain, whine, lash out at the slightest provocation. We blame everything and everybody for willfully and unjustly using up our time. There is so much to be done and very little time.
Twenty-four hours in a day and at the end of the day, there's little or nothing to show for it. It seems all of our lives' twenty-four hours are gone down the drain. The drain of uncertainty with no clue as to how to efficiently utilize the twenty-four hours in the morrow leaving us with nothing but frustration, despair, anger and a maximum feeling of unfulfillment.
Not enough time to pray, study the Word, worship and praise the Almighty can be heartbreaking for a christian who desires so much to spend time with his/her Heavenly Father knowing that the strength needed to face each day can only be drawn from Him. There is just that 5 - 20 minutes of quiet time in the morning and zoom...to work, school, etc. And when the day is over, fatigue only allows for a little nap with the bible spread open. And by a nap, getting up time will be the next morning and then the 5 - 20 minutes alone time and thus, goes the weasel.
But, God knows it all. He knows time is really not a friend when it comes to nurturing our relationship with Him. He knows how our busy-ness gets in the way of a loving and uplifting fellowship with Him. He knows how the world's timetable can be a pain when it comes to the things that concern Him. He knows and He understands so He counsels us "to make the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil." - Ephesians 5:16, AMP.
It begins with understanding. Understanding that God is Omnipresent. There is not a place where we can be that He isn't there with us. What does that say? It means it doesn't have to be just by our bedside that we can spend time with the Lord. We can and should be in His presence every moment of our lives.
Service unto God and man is a way to worship the Lord. Obeying His laws and instructions is the same as telling Him how much we love Him.
In the rowdiness, listen to His still voice. Inasmuch as He is in Heaven, He dwells in us. In our hearts. From the time we opened the doors of our hearts to Him, He has been a Faithful Resident.
When it seems like the clutters of life are in the way, remember that even the darkness hides nothing from Him. The night shines as the day and both darkness and light are alike to Him. [Psalm 139:12]. He sees you where you are and you can communicate with Him anywhere and anytime.
