Becoming what you write about is often easier said than done. It is so, because becoming the person that you write about requires hard work. We live what we believe and believe what we live. Our lives will always reflect what’s in our hearts. The bible says guard your heart because out of it are the issues of life.
Obviously, we all have issues, the question is do those issues have us. When we deal with people, are we reflecting what we write about or what we think they want to hear or see? I took into consideration that very thought. I have decided to become what I write about because it will do me no good to talk the talk and not walk it. If you are saved, live saved if not then not.
Becoming what we write about brings satisfaction to the soul when we know in our hearts that what we are doing is right. Our lives are truly a testimony to what we believe.
Proverbs 23:7 says as a man thinketh so is he… what we think about, we bring about whether we are conscious to that fact or not.
In conclusion, writing is an art as well as a gift. It is a talent that needs to be cultivated over time. Furthermore, it is a tool that can be used to sharpen one’s own life and the lives of others. Writing is freedom of expression and we express what we feel. As we express our feelings we become what we write about. Amen.
