Have there ever been three more beautiful words uttered in the entirety of all history? “He is Risen!” What do these words mean to you? “He is Risen” means I have been set free from sin; I am no longer a slave to sin; my unworthy life has been bought and paid for through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; I am now a slave of God. “He is Risen” means all of my sin has been wiped clean; it has been “hurled into the depths of the sea”; never to be mentioned again. “He is Risen” means I am able to have an intimate relationship with my Father God; that I “cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares about you.” “He is Risen” means I have a reservation in Heaven, Jesus has gone ahead to “prepare a room” for me. “He is Risen” means I do not ever have to be alone again, because my Lord “will not leave you or forsake you.” “He is Risen” means I never have to live in fear again for “the Lord is my helper, I will not fear, what can man do to me?” “He is Risen” means there is nothing “will ever separate us from the love of God through Jesus Christ.” “He is Risen” means I have found rest; “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” What do these three beautiful words mean to you?
