I was a little hurt today, not physically, but spiritually, emotionally and mentally.. but it was okay. Since my youth, one of the things I had a great deal of experience with, was always being someone's emotional, physical, mental or spiritual punching bag. If you can comprehend the term of being someone's physical punching bag (which is pretty self explanatory), then, you can pretty much understand what it's like to be someone's spiritual, emotional and mental punching bag, too.
For those of you, who may not know what the term 'being a punching bag' means, it's when a person who targets you with a hidden or open hatred (and most likely, not because of something you did or said), and eventually victimizes you as a result and turns you into their punching bag, even if their hatred or dislike toward you was really toward someone else. Sometimes, because of guilt, after they hurt you, their hatred or dislike toward you goes dormant until it wakes and resurfaces again. And most importantly, you are considered being a 'punching bag', if you did absolutely nothing to deserve the attacks. A person who invokes trouble on themself is not considered to be a 'punching bag', because basically, the term just refers to victims of UNPROVOKED mistreatment. In the modern day world, people call this bullying and even bullying comes in many forms, not just physical.
Since the beginning, mankind have always struggled with this one thing: It was not by provocation or cause that made them turn against each other, it was their lack of control over their own demons that filled their hearts with malice, to betray each other for absolutely no reason whatsoever. When demons are born, they go into a man's heart and it turns into UNROOTED hatred (unrooted, meaning unfound or unknown but just springs up overnight out of thin air, giving a man a falsified or an unjust reason to dislike or hate someone, such as prejudice), and it's this malice that drives them to hurt another person. When God confronted Cain about the demons in his heart, He said, "It desires to have you but you must master it." Obviously Cain was not experienced with overpowering demons because it drove him to murder his brother.
God knows that, before He taught me about Faith, I had no sword, no shield or any other skills of defense. When I was born, I was born like a blind folded prisoner with both hands tied behind my back; and being used as other people's spiritual, physical, mental and emotional punching bag made me feel like I was standing against a firing squad that I couldn't overpower on my own. It was like being born in a world full of Cain, because there were so many types of unrooted hatred that drove people to hurt me for no justified reason at all. So what did He do? God does what He does best for those He saw didn't have a fair chance in this world. He taught me how to have Faith and not just any Faith, but Faith in God.
Sometimes when our Faith falls short, it cannot shield us from being afflicted and we end up with injury. But Faith in God isn't just an ointment for wounds; it's also a sword. My experience with Faith is PLENTY, which means I am now skilled with a Sword. When I work hard to become blameless in God's sight by always doing my best to genuinely do good things from my heart and don't intentionally hurt anyone, I am actually sharpening my Sword. The more blameless I become, the sharper it gets, so that when people attack me, I show God my wounds and He rebukes my enemies up to a hundred times. There should be a warning label that says "using someone who has faith in God as a punching bag, is bad for your spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health". Because when people attack or mistreat those who they assume are much weaker than them, God makes them pay a heavy penalty for their actions.
