Here is an interesting progression of sharing one's faith which I have come across in two different books. It shows the power of spreading the Gospel one person at a time.
Edward Kimball was a Sunday school teacher. He had a passion for young boys and men. He would even go to visit them during the week at home or at work. One of the young men in his Sunday school class became a famous evangelist. His name was Dwight L. Moody.
Dwight L. Moody, in 1879, was used of God to bring another person to the Lord, by the name of F.B.Meyers. who also became a minister.
Mr. Meyers shared his faith and life with a man by the name of J.W. Chapman. This man began a ministry among the professional baseball players.
One of the players he witnessed to was Billy Sunday, who became a well known evangelist. One of the members of his evangelistic team led Mordecai Ham to the Lord.
Mordecai Ham held some meetings in Charlotte, North Carolina. A young man attended but did not want to go back. He and a friend thought everything was being directed at them so they decided to sit in the choir loft. That way the evangelist could not point his finger at them. Those teenagers ended up going forward at the end of the service and gave their hearts to the Lord. They were Billy Graham and his associate, Grady Wilson.
We never know how God will work in the life of another person upon hearing the Gospel and how far into the future the message will be carried.
