He went out early
And sought the Father's intimacy,
Prayed alone and communed secretly,
The Son of God Himself intstructed
When we pray, to close our rooms,
Close the door and not be distracted.
In quietness and rest we will hear
God's loving whisper as the Spirit draws us near,
Before His Throne of Grace unseen
His Love and forgiveness makes us clean
Without so many words, just what's in our heart
All prayers heard even before our speaking starts.
For the Father longs our human fellowship
As we praise and give our all to Him in worship
Christ Himself in us consumes our inner being
The Spirit leads the way in this, our praying.

A lovely piece; one can't have a relationship with God without intimacy- an idea that seems to be lost on most of the Body; appreciated the Scriptural reference too; well done.
