Numbers 13 New King James Version (NKJV)
32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants[d] (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
Grace and Peace unto you my Brothers and Sisters,
It is amazing how you can ask two people who have witness the same incident, what happened? They both will give you two different renditions or accounts of events. This also is an interesting phenomena in regards to how people view their lives and the trials and tribulations that they are experiencing. May I make this suggestion to you, "Things are not as bad as they looks." I know you may be dealing with some health challenges right now but things are not as bad as they look. I know you just lost your job but things are not as bad as they look. I know you are having relationship difficulties and you and your spouse are considering getting a divorce but things are not as bad as they look. I know you have financial problems, you and your children are not getting along, your parents are aging and you are responsible for their care and there is too much month for your money in other words you are broke, busted and disgusted.
However, whatever you are going through, things are not as bad as they look. The above text serves as a good example of what God is trying to tell you,"things are not as bad as they look". In the 13th chapter of Numbers God told Moses," 2 “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan". Interestingly, 10 men had an evil report and 2 men had a good report. They all saw the same land and they all observed the same people who occupied the land so why were they two different reports? The reports were different because their life perspectives where different. Your life perspective depends on how you view God and His plan for your life.
We all face similar problems and challenges in life however; the end results and how we deal with our problems are different because some of us focus on our problems instead of the Problem Solver(GOD). Some of us focus on the facts and not on our Faith. Some of us rehearse our failures rather than release our belief in the Father who said I never leave you nor forsake you! Just as Caleb said," “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” (Numbers 13:30). I encourage you to get up and go up and take possession over your life and the promises of God concerning your life! He has promised us a land that flows with milk and honey! Yes, we are well able to overcome the setbacks, we are well able to overcome the challenges, the adversity and the enemy! The bible declares that we overcome by the Word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb! Things are not as bad as they look because greater is he than is in me than he that is in the world!
