2 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
Grace and Peace unto you my brothers and sisters,
As we come to the end of this discourse regarding turning water into wine there are a few key things I would like to point out; First when Jesus turn the water into wine at Cana of Galilee this is considered Jesus first miracle on the earth. Why and what does turning water into wine have to do with our lives and what is the significant? The text starts with "on the third day," why is this? Why did the water pots have to be filled to the brim? Lets explore these questions, why was this the first miracle Jesus performed? The scripture declares,"11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.(John 2:11) This miracle was significant because it manifested Jesus glory and as a result Jesus disciples believed in him. This marks the beginning of Jesus earthly ministry and confirms that Jesus purpose and mission was to save that which was lost and to establish His Kingdom here on the earth. Turning water into wine prophetically represents your life changing from natural to supernatural, from temporal into eternal, from sin sickness to forgiven and blameless. This happen on the third day because that is when resurrection life takes place, on the third day is when Jesus rose from the grave with ALL POWER! The pots have to be filled to the brim because it represent you and I coming to the end of ourselves, we must come to the end of our own self efforts in regards to righteousness. When we realize that we need a savior then God's divine grace can change our water into wine. We must be sick and tired of being sick and tired, we must be feed up and filled up with our old self before God can transform our old life into new life. Lastly, this text confirms that the first shall be last and the last shall be first, this text confirms first comes the natural and then the spiritual. God have saved his best for last therefore; I prophecy to you that your best days are still ahead! Weeping may endure for a moment but joy comes in the morning! Wait I say on the Lord and be of good cheer! God is not finished with us yet! Allow God to turn your water into wine!
