God is so direct, transparent and straight in all that He does and anyone who approaches Him should be like Him,
they should first do their homework or do what God desires of them and then shall the Lord heed their request and deliver them.
"And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors." Matthew 6:12 (NKJV)
We can never forgive unless we have personally experienced the joy forgiveness brings in our life and also we will never receive forgiveness unless we have forgiven.
All of us have been hurt some or the other time and the pain and bitterness that follows cannot easily be forgotten or erased, however at the same time we might have hurt somebody equally and it could be that that somebody might be the Lord God Himself, for all our deeds against His Word hurts Him, when He expects of us to walk righteously and we do not, it hurts Him.
They who have hurt in either case seek forgiveness, however it is purely at the mercy of the one who is hurt to forgive, thus forgiveness is not our right, it is a gift, however God wants us to know that as much as we are desperate to be forgiven by Him, so are others waiting to receive forgiveness from us.
God does not want to arrogantly turn us down by setting up a condition, rather He wants us to experience the joy of forgiving which He receives when He forgives us.
True forgiveness works as an ointment that not only erases the hurt but also fills it with a renewed relationship and joy like never before.
Remember!!! where no one knows our pending list of forgiveness, God knows it and this will always be a hindrance for us to receive His forgiveness.
So clear your pending list and come to God, for He is more than willing and waiting to extend His love and restoration to all those who seek Him with all of their heart and soul.
