*****CLOAK OF THANKSGIVING*****
'and fell down upon the ground and worshipped...'
When all goes well, we are clothed with all kinds of wonderful attire and we carry a cheerful face and its obvious that something has happened to us. THough this brings joy to God yet what happens in time of adversity, strife and temptation? God would have us realise that He's still as much with us in time of plenty as in timeof adversity and famine. Today we are encouraged to put on the cloak of Thanksgiving even in the worst possible cases you might possibly find yourself. David's first son from Bathsheba had just died, it was recorded that: 'he arose from the earth, washed, anointed himself and changed his apparel...and worshipped' (2samuel12:20). That's Strange. Others thought depression would set in, but he acted contrary.
At the face of your greatest defeat, how do you react? Just like the opening scripture: JOb after listening to such heart-breaking news rose and worshipped. What's your situation? Are you seeking for sympathy? Or blaming God? Take a U-Turn be Clothed with the Garment and Cloak ofa Worshipper. The circumstances night not allow , but the Spirit knows what's best. The cloak is available anytime Just Put it On. The Patriachs of Old like David and Job did same, we can do even better via the help of the Spirit of God within us.
