THE TREASURE IN THE EARTHEN VESSEL
Treasure is a valuable object physically and spiritually. Physically treasures are not seen on the surface such as gold, diamond, topaz, ruby, etc. All these are hidden in the ground and it takes a lot of efforts to detect them , talk less of digging the ground to getit to the surface. To get these treasures ground will be broken, a lot has to be done to get these treasures out. The process might not be easy, it takes time, energy, money, e.t.c. Paul the Apostle says we have this treasure in earth vessels, “which is the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ”. Paul said we are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed ,we are perplexed but not forsaken, stricken down but not destroyed. God has given every man talents, gifts and vision. A man has three servants and gave them talents. The first servant he gave five talents, the second servants he gave two talents and the third servant, one talent. He gave them according to their ability. There is no man on planet earth without a talent, at least one.
The truth is this, satan has no power over your gift but he attacks the recipient or the carrier of the gift. He knows if he could get the recipient of the gift, the gift is of no use any more. Are you surprise why there is attack left and right over your life? Paul says they were persecuted, struck down, hard pressed, why ? Because of the treasure in the earthen vessel.
Remember your battle is for a reason because all great men attract satanic attention. The reason why satan attack you is because he fears you. He only attack those he fears. You are created to solve people’s problem. Your assignment is to solve an existing problems in someone’s life. So your assignment will require seasons of preparations.
Every man will be tested. You have to go through trials, challenges, tortures, but if you can hold on to God you will manifest. Satan wants you to give up but do not give up. Stand up. Dog will only pursue a man with bones in his hands. The ground has to be broken before treasure is brought to the surface. You will need to fight battles. Remember no test, no testimony. Warfare always surrounds the birth of a miracle. Joseph’s brothers hated him with passion because of his dreams and visions. He was thrown inside pit and finally sold into slavery just because of his dreams. Those who do not have what you have will envy you, Such are dream killers. Joseph was hated with passion because of the treasure in his life. Remember devil is after you everyday. He is out there to get you. Joseph got to Phortipher’s house hoping that he had escaped from his enemies, he thought at least those who hated him could no longer trace his bearing. Little did Joseph know that external forces are waiting for him,if you were in Joseph situation what will be flying through your mind, would you curse God for allowing such happening to you, or commit suicide.
Portipher’s wife set eyes on him. You wonder what this wife of the most influential man in Egypt saw in Joseph that made her wanted to sleep with Joseph, a slave. Temptation came, but Joseph made up his mind not to sin against God. He rejected the woman’s advances not because of his destiny but he feared God. Never do things to please men but that which pleases God because He is always with you.
Remember suffering and glory are two sides of a coin. No suffering, no glory. The suffering of the flesh is the glory of the spirit. Joseph rejected evil, he decided to remain faithful to God. He did not see that as an opportunity to escape from Portipher’s house. Doing God’s will may cause you temporary suffering. Joseph found himself in prison because Portipher’s wife lied against him, that he wanted to rape her but escaped. This led Joseph to prison and was forgotten in the prison but God did not forget Joseph. God was with Joseph even in the prison. But remember God’s dream dont die. Joseph was in the prison but his dream was not in the prison. Keep your dreams and your gift alive because it is a way out of your confusion. Devil wanted to frustrate Joseph out of his purpose in life but he kept his dream alive.
Jesus endures the cross because of the joy that were set before him. It is too early to quit. Suicide is not the way out, faith and trust in God is the way out. He knows the way through the wilderness, all you need is to follow. Devil wants you to commit suicide, don’t look for a permanent solution to temporary problem. Many destiny is attached to your destiny. No matter what you go through do not sin against God, do what is right. Joseph remain loyal even in the prison, Joseph was suppose to get angry and fight everybody in the prison but instead he help the prisoners interpret their dreams, encourage those with sad countenance, what a beautiful life! Joseph had a dream he could not interpret but he was able to interpret for others. When you help other people’s dream God will fulfill your dream. What you make happen for others He will make happen for you. God will never promote you until you are over qualified for His present assignment. Your assignment will require season of interpretation. God was watching Joseph’s reactions to criticism, lie, loneliness, weather, location. God was preparing him for great assignment He had for him. If devil had known he would not have crucified the God of glory. Devil did the greatest mistakes of his life by allowing Joseph to go through all he went through. It was time for God to remember Joseph for greatness. When God wants to promote a man, a problem will arise that it is only that man that has solution to it. God sent famine to Egypt for Joseph promotion. It is only God that can promote, no man can do it for you. Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream and he became Prime Minister in Egypt. Who won at last? Joseph. You too will win whatever you go through in life. Remember tough times don’t last only tough people last.keep the treasure.
