Revelations 1:17-18: And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me fear not; I am the first and the last. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive forevermore amen; and have the keys of hell and death.
My subject is Jesus has the keys. Revelations portrays Jesus Christ as our triumphant King. It is the last book of the bible speaking about the prophecies that will surely come to pass. In fact, revelations means the revealing of the prophecy and coming of Jesus Christ. Blessed is he who readeth and understand.
Jesus has the keys of hell and death and in him is no darkness at all. The Lord came to give life and give it more abundantly. The keys that Christ has, is the keys that open the door. As a matter fact, Jesus said I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture.
There are men who talk about the keys to building a successful business or the keys to prosperity and thatís good, but what I want to talk about is the keys that Jesus holds.
These keys were not given to an ordinary man because he is not worthy. They had to be given to a perfect man who died for your sins and my sins the man Christ Jesus.
Jesus said I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
No man can take the life of Christ. He has the power to lay it down and take it up again. This is the commandment that he received of God the Father. The Lord told the Jews in St. John 2:19: destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again. Jesus has the keys. By the name of Jesus, the demons tremble. At the name of Jesus, thee oppressed get delivered. Through the name of Jesus, blind eyes pop open. Its the name of Jesus, that the sick is made whole. In the name of Jesus, the deaf hear. By the name of Jesus, the lame walk.
Jesus has the keys to hell and to death.
In conclusion, the bible says all things were made by Him and for Him and without Him, was nothing made that was made. Jesus not only has the keys, He is the key to eternal life, Amen.
