GOD AND THE SUPERBOWL
Freelance writer Lupie Riley
Was God's hand in the Super Bowl win? Let's look at events leading up to the Seattle Seahawks victory. Quarterback Russell Wilson was given a prophecy before the game that something very unusual was going to happen and he was to be a big part of the overall picture. Meanwhile back at the ranch the Broncos Elway had traded off Tim Tebow, for Peyton Manning. Could it have been because of Tim's Christian testimony of kneeling in prayer after the games? Manning quickly became the Bronco's idol in whom they trusted would help them win the Super Bowl.
Wilson on the other hand was an unknown, small statured player who did play a big part in the Seahawks triumphant score of 43 to 8 that made NFL history and left the Broncos team frustrated and ashamed. The first thing Russell did was to give God the credit. Weather was also a concern as snow and cold was predicted to move in during the game. All was calm until the game was over and the Seahawks had won.
Topping everthing off Tim Tebow made his appearance in one of the million dollar Super Bowl adds. Was all of these events just a coincidence? As I look at the bigger picture I'm more apt to conclude that God's hand was indeed in the game watching over his own and I'm not even a football fan
