Daniel prayed three times a day toward Jerusalem. The Bible never states when he started this custom, nor does it state God gave him a command to do it. It simply states Daniel continued to play, "like he had always done" Daniel 6:10. Daniel's praying was never an issue until there was a law against it.
Hobby Lobby's insurance practices were never an issue until a law was passed. Their full time employees had health insurance and if they wanted contraceptives, they went to their doctor, got a prescription, and simply paid the $10-$50 per month for it out of pocket. If they wanted an abortion, they simply paid the $350-$500 out of pocket. The fact that their insurance didn't cover it in no way hindered them from getting contraception or abortions and they always had the opportunity to quit working at Hobby Lobby and go someplace else that offered those things.
I applaud Hobby Lobby for their stand, they are modern day Daniels. I pray that I will have the courage to dare to be a Daniel when the gov't passes the next law that violates my relationship with God and infringes on my religious beliefs.
