God Use To Depend On Us Women

God use to depend on us women. He used to depend on our prayer. He used to depend on us being mothers. He used to depend on us to pray things through when the men wouldnít pray. He used to depend on us to bring order to situations that were wrong but now we just go along with the wrong. God used to depend on us being wives to our own husbands. He depended on us to keep silent when we were in the presence of others if we werenít spoken to. He depended on us to not be busybodies in other people matters. He depended on us to teach our children right from wrong. He depended on us to bring chastisement upon them when they were wrong. What happened? Why also are we so willingly acceptable to every damnable wrong done by our children and wrong the world dictate? Where are the women of God?

Women we are so busy trying to be the head, we have forgotten about what is important. We have forgotten about what we were put in the earth to do; be a helpmeet to our husbands, mothers to our children and keepers at home. Are we slaves? No! God has order for us and when we forsake His order we allow chaos back into the world. We are special to God; a peculiar species. There is none like us anywhere. We are among the shame mentioned in the Scriptures concerning folly, idleness, pride, lying, hasty speech, dishonesty, ingratitude, willful ignorance and quarreling. We are not to fear shame, nor indeed to feel it whatever our trials or sufferings but we have brought shame upon God in one way or another for we have failed in one point or another.

In Genesis we are told to be fruitful and multiply. We are the only one that can birth forth man in the earth. We are special so therefore many things are birth forth through us. God uses us specifically to speak forth therefore speaking life. The position of women is special. We can make or break a man down with our words. The position of women in ancient times was always one of inferiority to man, yet the life of the Israelites and their descendants, according to the Old Testament; the woman had greater freedom and was placed more nearly on an equal footing with man than was the case among other Middle Eastern peoples of the time. What they had to say was important to the man. Has that respect and freedom been abused today? Look where we are in America today.

The conception of woman in Genesis 2:18-24 is that she is manís helper and his companion. The wives of the early patriarchs, Sarah that laughed at God being a woman way past reproductive age as we know it (Genesis 11:29), Rebekah the wife of Issac (Genesis 24:67) was caught up in a web of lies and deception, and Rachel the wife of Jacob (Genesis 29:28) favored but stole from her father upon their departure from his house, seemed in most ways to stand on an equality with their husbands, but at home not in the streets. They succumb their position to that of submission in front of others. They didnít talk their husbands down or mock them publicly. Miriam (sister of Moses) and Deborah (a judge and prophetess) were recognized as making valuable contributions to the good of the nation. When Miriam (Numbers 26:59) overstepped her bounds and criticized Moses her leader she was vexed with a disease. Jezebel was a control freak that disrespected her husband Ahab. She exerted a powerful influence, bad though it was. We have to watch those demons, they are real!

Ruth a Moabitess woman because of her heritage was considered to be a reject among the nations but married Boaz and became an ancestor of Jesus that would die for the sin of the world (Ruth 4:13, Matthew 1:5). Women sang in the Temple Choir not made mess of it. They painted their faces; wore make up (II Kings 8:30) for it wasnít the make-up that made them. They wore ornaments; jewelry (Isaiah 3:16-23) but it didnít cause them to lose who they were. Rahab was an harlot that was in the lineage of Jesus (Joshua 2:1), who are we to say who God will use.

In the New Testament there are pictures of the beauty of life and service of women. Mary was the mother of Jesus (Luke 2:14-21) having found favor with God. Lydia was a business woman (Acts 16:14-15); seller of purple and an outstanding early Christian but she did not usurp authority over anyone else using her product to bring glory to God. Dorcas in (Acts 9:36-42) was a seamstress and exemplary Christian, full of good works and alms deeds which she did, women gave support to Jesus and His disciples (Luke 8:3) and ministered to Him (Matthew 27:56 and Mark 15:40).

We are special women! We have special works to do for the Lord, but first things first. The disciples in (John 4:27) were astonished when they found Jesus talking with the woman of Samaria but she ran with the message she had just received, being born again. Jesus helped to exalt womanhood, mainly by His personal attitude towards women, by the teaching about the relations of the sexes, adultery (Matthew 5:17), marriage and divorce (Matthew 5:31; 19:3) and by his attitude toward the woman who was a sinner in (Luke 7:37), and those who needed help (Luke8:2), as well as toward the woman of Samaria (John 4).

Women as we do today formed a large part of the early group of Christians. Priscilla was a tentmaker who befriended Paul in (Acts 18:2-3). Paul said in I Timothy 2:9-16 that the women should be dressed in modest apparel, keep their heads covered in church (I Corinthians 11:5-15). We today donít practice modesty, let alone the covering of our head. We the older women are not teaching modesty for most are trying to show all they can. Paul said we should keep silent at church in (I Corinthians 14:34) when men were discussing business. We not only today wonít keep quiet we run the men off where we are the business. We know that there is not male or female in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28) for we are all one in Godís sight as far as Salvation is concerned but God never deviates from his order concerning the man and woman. Man was first then woman naturally!

A woman; wife, helpmeet, mother, prophetess, queen, daughter, girl, grandmother, mother in law and servant is someone special to God and we should feel special within ourselves. We are to stand up for what is right and honorable before God without thought; Godís expects us to. We are significant when it comes to God and man. We are forgiven by Jesus of all accusations we are confronted with. He has restored unto us life where we donít turn into a pillar of salt when we look back. How can we not marvel at Godís wisdom? We can take everything to God in prayer yet we only take junk, mess. When we pray we can change conditions, circumstances, and times. When we show kindness we can speak what God has said to speak in love. We too can wash Jesus feet with our tears, when we pray he hears and makes intercession to the Father for us. We can take our all to him and lay it at his feet. We can be healed in Jesus Name. God use to depend on us women! What has happened?

The law of the Lord is perfect and converts souls. Are we really carrying Godís Word? Hear what the Lord is speaking today for he wants to speak peace to us where our soul is preserved. We are accountable to God for what we do and donít do! The Word of the Lord to us is precept upon precept.
