More than 300 Messianic prophecies (prophesying that He was to be the Savior) were written in the Old Testament and then fulfilled through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. The probability of one person fulfilling just 8 of these prophecies is 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 (100 quadrillion). For a single man to fulfill 48 of the prophecies the probabilities become staggering – 1 chance in 157th power (1 with 157 zeroes after it).Add to that the other 250 other prophecies and it becomes an impossibility for one man to fulfill all of them outside of the overwhelming power of God. The amazing accuracy of those fulfilments further substantiates the chosen of God to be Jesus.
Some say Jesus was just a great moral teacher, a prophet, or a liar or even an egomaniac madman. Some religions (claiming to be Christian) go so far as to say that He just rose to height of His abilities and limits and became “a god”. This group of people also says that we can rise that high in rank if we strive hard enough to be super human and become our own god. But the Bible tells us that these ideas are part of false religions and taught by false prophets. John 2:22-23 says, “Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist -- he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” Also, I Corinthians 12:3 says, "Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, ‘Jesus be cursed’, and no one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord’, except by the Holy Spirit.”
Whatever people think of Him, nobody can deny that He stands at the very center of human history. But the many miracles He performed during His earthly ministry, especially raising the dead to life again, set Him apart from anyone before or after Him.
Paul, the writer of the two epistles to the church in Corinth (by the breath of the Holy Spirit) verified the authenticity of the concept of the deity of Christ when he proclaimed to them that Jesus can, died and rose again as fulfillment of Old Testament scriptures (remember that there was no New Testament until Paul’s time and the time of the Apostles.
I CORINTHIANS 15:3-6:
What I received I passed on to you as of first importance
(It was vital that the Corinthians know that Jesus fulfilled the purpose of God and in compliance with His word.)

After Paul verified that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies, he proved the deity of Christ by His resurrection:
Verses 5-8 tell us that the resurrection could not a hoax or wishful thinking by grieving friends and fellow workers.
