Romans 8:4 that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Hebrew 12:9 abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
I Corinthians 3:16-17 know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is Holy, which temple ye are?
We must remember that itís Holiness or Hell. I Thessalonian 4:3-4 for this is the will of God even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication; that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour. We canít live worldly and expect a godly reward. We have to change our ways, thoughts, and heart to be like and after God.
We are to conform to Godís Word; so why is it so hard? I Thessalonians 4:7 for God have not called us unto uncleanness but unto holiness. We are to put a difference between clean and unclean, holy and unholy, right and wrong. Habits acquired in our lives causes us to not reach our potential in God because we have acquired a taste that goes against Godís Will. When prompted to change we fail to alter or transform our actions so we fail to turn away from sin thereby refusing God. If we want to be different we must exchange some things in our lives for something else. That something else may be simply a way of dressing, the way we do things, treat people or what we eat or drink.
When change comes we are not fickle, flighty, unreliable or unstable but we are steady, settled, and certain that a change has come over us. Change can bring us out of the gutter living. It is the conduit between being saved and unsaved. We must change. Repentance brings about a change in the lives of people everywhere. Change is one of our main arteries when it comes to salvation.
Change is long overdue. We have allowed Satan and sin to overpower us because of our failure to comply with the Word as believers in Christ Jesus. We need to recondition and renew our minds.
God has already mastered Satanís defeat yet we give into his antics every day. We overrate or magnify Satanís power through willful disobedience to Godís Word. He builds up an exaggerated power to us and we believe his lies. When are we going to stop playing the fool for this already defeated foe? He has already overrun his course; Jesus invaded his space over two thousand years ago and put him under his feet (Romans 16:20). Satan is in a rage over the fact that he cannot occupy the hearts of man except we allow him in. When he spill over into our lives itís hard to overcome the damage he causes while there.
God has done His work, Jesus did His, the Holy Ghost is doing His; so what are we going to do? Change! Change what?
Satan seeks to subvert and overthrow the plan God has for man to upset the kingdom of heaven once more. He plans to overturn God and ruin man in the process. We must change our piercing, hurtful, throbbing and burning desires for the world. We initiate sin in our lives at the first time we realize we are wrong, can do wrong and choose to do wrong. We open a door for the enemy to come in. He reveals lies to us that keep us bound for a life time if we do not change.
We cannot be undecided about this forward progression. We must know that Satan is rotten to the core and cannot be saved. He has already been adjudged guilty and is on death row awaiting the needle. He walks in darkness, lives a gloomy life, and his eyes is dim although he think not. He was not like that though in the beginning. He clearly is not an option of any man but many choose to serve him and know the penalty is death.
Change, change what? We need to change our options. To choose Christ is optional, discretionary, elective and voluntary. He doesnít overthrow manís decisions because He wants us to come to Him of our own will. He wants us to come to Him because we love, honor, and obey His Word. Many times and many places by many men God has orally spoken and voiced his desire that all would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We arrange everything so eloquently in our homes, at work, at church, and on our bodies but we donít give God his due. We are to aide and assist God in the earth in a very orderly fashion.
In holiness we should be neat, methodical, systematic, thorough precise and careful in all of our actions. For all of our action affect everyone we love, including God. Jesus has secured us a place not prepared with hands and requested our reservation with the Father. What more can we ask for? Change, change what? Change whatever need changing for us to walk with God in obedience. God has already ordered our steps. He gave us instructions and directions for living in his Holy Word that He desires of us. He commanded us to be Holy for He is Holy. Holiness is a mandate. God wants us effective and functioning in our walk. We are to work, serve, run and percolate.
God wants to manage our affairs for us if we allow Him to. He will be the manipulating force behind our actions. He changes our life complete when we yield our all and all to Him. We canít dispute this so why do we defy the best thing that ever happened to us. Salvation is free and when we fight it we cause God to fight against us because of sin. God has nothing to do with sin and encounters it head on causing a storm.
We donít want to confront God; He is not the one to clash with. We must take the opportunity presented to us to cleanse ourselves, washing ourselves from all uncleanness and filthiness of the flesh. Change, change what? Change views and come out of that obstinate, bigoted, stubborn, unyielding, prejudiced opinionated way. Take the necessary steps toward God today.
Change, change what? Change the way we operate in the world. Change the way we act and the deeds we do that are not godly. We can no longer function effectively in Christ without change. We must undertake our work with seriousness; that means the way we do things, the process we follow, the formula taken to get where we want to go, and the procedures called for.
God is not our opponent but Satan who we are also reminded is Godís rival, competitor, adversary and antagonist. If we donít change our way Satan will oppress us through harassment, maltreatment, and abuse. He is a tyrant that dominates in the area of persecution towards Godís people. He puts God people through trials, tests, distress, and difficulty. What more reason do we need to change and trust God? What other reason to have complete deliverance and victory in this life?
