Was meditating anew on the gates to the New Jerusalem that John saw coming down from heaven in Revelation chapter 21 verse 21 (some verses are especially meant to be remembered!) Each of the 4 gates were made from single giant pearls. And pearls come about from a single irritant like a cinder or flake of shell lodging itself inside and within the soft tissue of the clam. So for there to be a giant pearl there would have to be hugely irritating situation like a giant tribulation or a convergence of giant tribulations into One Great Tribulation like the one prophesied to come upon the earth in the last days. And out of this great tribulation will come the greatest deposit of divine wisdom ever heard or even conceived. As someone said, if you want wise counsel seek it from one who has been through an intense trial without being shaken.
Put another way, when Jesus rebuked the tempest we are told in Matthew 8 v. 26 that a "great calm" resulted. Great calms only follow great tempests or storms, or tribulations, That is exactly what verse 24 of that same chapter tells us, that a"suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea" setting the stage for the One who would then impose, through his supernatural authority, his great calm upon the alarming situation.
