And the Child grew and waxed strong in the spirit......
This is a testimony of the Life of John the Baptist as he grew and matured in his early years. It was recorded of him that 'the child Grew'.In this year we must indeed choose to be Child-Like so as to grow and learn from God and from others.Regardless of the level of growth and maturity we have enjoyed in the previous year, we must not at any point count ourselves to have apprehended or count ourselves as one who have completed the race set before us.Rather,we must purpose in our heart, to grow as john did.We must consciously develop a thirst and yearning for more.
As its been said: When you stop learning you start dying.Make a Commitment to Grow.
John Maxwell puts it this way:Change is Inevitable,Growth is Optional. You must choose to grow this year.
Secondly, the child waxed strong in the spirit.Even so likewise in this year you must choose to add layers upon layers of grace and strength to your inner man.Its time to invest into the realm of the Spirit. Have you ever seen wax melt before the fire? Its an awesome and it tells of how God would have us advance. When the wax melts, it comes in Layers and drops, dropping through the sides of the candle and eventually forms a mould or a chunk. In like manner i charge you to WAX strong, become valiant in spiritual things; you cannot afford to be weak. There are battles to fight.
1. Make a Commitment to Grow.
2.Add layers upon Layers of Grace and strengthand Fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Central Truth: Growth is optional. It is a conscious thing.make your Investments NOW.
