There Is Room In The Inn (Luke 2:6-7)
“So it was that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him on a manger, because there was no room for them in the Inn.”
Today’s eWord is Papa’s special Christmas gift to His children! His heart overflows with love for each precious one purchased by the blood of His Son and He says to you today that there is room in the “inn” for you! We know from the Word of God that Mary and Joseph had to search for a place to give birth to Jesus, and finally found themselves having to lay Him down in the animals’ manger. May today’s eWord find a resting place within your heart.
1) There is Room: There are many dear people who feel isolated, left out and lonely, and feel like they do not belong. Perhaps you have faced rejection in your life, and you may have felt like doors are frequently closing in your face. The enemy may have made you believe that there really is no room for you in the “Inn” but God wants you to know different today. Jesus died that you could enter into His presence and into His family. He invited you into the fullness of His favor and the abundance of His love. He opened the way for you when the veil in the temple was torn in two. He said “Enter in; taste and see that I am good”! Our Abba God wants us to know that there is always room for you and me in the “Inn” because of the blood of Jesus. He already paid our way in, and that is where we belong – not on the outside, but right inside His heart. Dear friend, hear the Word of the Lord to you today. “There is room for you in the inn. In the center of My plans and purposes, in My blessing, in my love, and always, always in my heart. You are in, not out.” God fully accepts and loves us, and calls us in, to experience the sweetness of fellowship with Him. You do belong. You are in!
It is a new season! Today’s Scripture begins with the words “the days were completed for her to be delivered”, and this is what the Lord would say to two groups of people. Firstly, He would have you see that your “time” is here. You may have felt like you have had to wait eternally, but you have been in preparation, as the Lord worked on your heart and made you ready for the next season. He is birthing something new in you! You will begin to see things shifting and changing around you as He brings divine connections to you and takes you over an invisible boundary line into the new things He is drawing you to. He is taking the lid off and there are no limits to what you can experience in Him. Your waiting time is over, hallelujah! Secondly, if you have been crying out to God for a breakthrough in some area of your life, He would have you know that your day of deliverance has come. He says “No more tears, no more pain, believe that you are stepping up into your season of freedom. It is a season of peace and rest, and you will laugh and rejoice again”.
2) Joseph and Mary’s firstborn Son was wrapped in swaddling bands soon after he was born. This was the custom of the time, where a new born child was brushed with salt and then wrapped up, which made it difficult for him to freely move his limbs. You may have been feeling hindered and hemmed in, and as though your hands and feet were tied, but the Lord would have you know today that He is snapping open every lock and restriction and bringing you to a place of freedom and release. The enemy may have tried to hinder what God is doing in your life, but Almighty El Shaddai cannot be stopped or blocked, hallelujah! The Holy Spirit is freeing your voice to sing and preach for the glory of Jesus’ name. He is releasing your creativity, your gifting, your anointing and calling. He is filling up ancient wells that have lain dry for many years. He is releasing prophetic art, writing and songs which need to be released into the earth in this end time hour. He is launching you out to fly freely to the highest heights the Father has planned for you to live in. You are the head and not the tail, the leader and not the follower, a shining light and a voice to this generation, preparing the way for the return of the Lord. You are a very precious ‘first born son’!
Dear friend, expect a radical shift in your life because God is on the move and He is working on your behalf. His blessing is on your life because you are always in His heart. May this Christmas be filled with the Joy which only Jesus brings. There is indeed room for you in the Inn!
