On April 15th 2014 something of great significance has been predicted. The information I am about to share with you comes from different sources and from the internet. (This article is being edited by the author on an ongoing basis as the need arises, based upon additional information, viewpoints, and comments.)
NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, has forecast that there will be a blood moon on that day. According to the Jewish faith that will also be a high holy day. History records that blood moons occurring on those days have been connected with something significant happening with the nation of Israel.
The same scenario is expected to occur again on October 8, 2014, and on April 2 and September 27, 2015. Along with this is expected a total solar eclipse on March 20, 2015. According to websites on the internet it is extremely rare to have 4 blood moons and a total solar eclipse in the period of 2 years and has possible prophetic significance. Joel 2:31 has this to say: "The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood". Acts 2:20 connects this with the "great and glorious day of the Lord..." Added to all of this is what is stated in Genesis 1:14. This verse states that the sun and the moon are for "signs and seasons." Some people have taken issue with the fact that there other verses throughout the Bible mentioning blood moons which have not been taken into account, but I do not see that as a problem. There are many events which will occur from the present time all through the Tribulation Period, and blood moons could happen again in association with activity listed in Revelation.
There are several causes of the moon appearing red and the sun becoming dark. According to several pages on the web it can be due to an eclipse, smoke in the atmosphere, or some kind of cosmic event, like meteorites and comets. There are several verses in the Bible that prophesy occurrences fitting the description of this type of activity. Whatever the cause, it could be a fulfillment of Bible prophecy and have some kind of impact related to the nation of Israel. It also raises a question. Since NASA predicted the four blood moons, and if they will be caused by something other than eclipses, is there something they are not telling us?
Blood moons happening on high holy days in the past have established a precedence for this coming prediction. The two most recent were in 1948 when Israel became a nation and in 1967 about the time of the six-day war. History has spoken and it is beyond coincidence. However, there appears to be lot of disparity down through history between blood moons, Jewish holy days, and events concerning Israel.
There is order and design in the universe, and a divine hand at work. This also gives us a taste of a timetable known only to God. It should be taken seriously as a warning! One does not have to get fanatical about it, but it is better to give some attention to things like this even if they prove to be wrong, than to shove them aside and they end up being correct. For Christians, we are living in a very exciting time. God could be up to something big.
Unfortunately, after reading comments from people on the internet sites, some are laughing at Pastor John Hagee. Let me remind them and those of you reading this that Pastor Hagee did NOT make this prediction, NASA did. The fact that they fall on high holy days is beyond human control. If all of this is wrong blame NASA. Even though Hagee has made this a hot issue because of his book, he is not a man who intends to deceive anyone or to divulge information based on insufficient knowledge.
It is my understanding that whatever happens in relationship to Israel may not happen on these exact days, but it is worthy enough to warrant paying attention to news reports leading up these prophesied days. With the way events are playing out between Israel, Iran, and Syria, it is entirely possible that something very significant could happen in the next two years around the approximate time of the four blood moons.
Someone on the internet has called this whole theory nonsense (they used a stronger word). That is not true. Even though there appears to be some information that has not been included in the assumptions made about the four blood moons, as is being taught on some internet sites, there is still plenty of truth that needs to be taken seriously. I recently read Hagee's book and he gives a very detailed account of the circumstances surrounding the last three blood moon events and how something very significant happened with the nation Israel. I am inclined to agree with Pastor Hagee, especially because of how things are building up in the Middle East, with one minor difference. Instead of saying something IS about to change, I would say that there is a high possibility that something COULD happen.
(Updated on 4/15/14) The first blood moon has come and gone with nothing significant happening, but there is still a lot of time up until the last blood moon in September of 2015. Three more blood moons and a solar eclipse could all be warnings. Another thing that is interesting with the September 2015 date is that it coincides with the seven year intervals that Jonathan Cahn mentions in his video, "The Harbinger." In 2001 there was 9/11; seven years later in 2008 there was the U.S. stock market crash. Seven years from then will be September 2015, which brings up another question. Will something huge happen in America on or about that time in addition to Israel?
Some people are still being openly critical of Pastor Hagee and finding fault with some of his teaching. I am not going to defend him; he needs no defense. Let me say again as I said earlier. He did NOT make these predictions. NASA did. The FACT that each of the blood moons fall on Jewish high holy days is beyond coincidence. He obviously had no control over that. It is also a FACT in history that at three other times when there were blood moons on high holy days something, indeed, happened of monumental significance. I believe the critics may be finding things to criticize to detract from the real message.
It is still too early to say that something will NOT happen. We will continue to have to wait and see, won't we?
We will all see what happens, won't we?
