“And I, if and when I am lifted up from the earth [on the cross], will draw and attract all men [Gentiles as well as Jews] to Myself” (John 12:32 Amp).
Full of seeming contradictions, the Bible remains mysterious, far exceeding our comprehension---the first are last, to save your life you must lose it, the meek inherits, love your enemies, rejoice in persecution, strength made perfect in weakness, many called but few chosen etc.,
One truth, however, rings clear. Created children in God’s exact image holds an inner desire for beauty, perfection, eternity and satisfaction “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy] (Eccl 3:11 Amp). Solomon, the wisest king in Israel’s history penned these words. He discovered power, popularity, prestige and pleasure brought emptiness and a heart absorbs abiding peace in God alone.
Drawn to the Agent of Creation, Solomon searched for meaning and purpose. In the end he discovered the secret to life’s problems “All has been heard; the end of the matter is: Fear God [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is] and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man [the full, original purpose of His creation, the object of God’s providence, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, the adjustment to all inharmonious circumstances and conditions under the sun] and the whole [duty] for every man (Eccl 12:13 Amp).

Messiah’s crucifixion made it possible for everyone [who chooses] to draw near “But now in Christ Jesus, you who were once [so] far away, through (by, in) the blood of Christ have been brought near (Ephesians 2:13 Amp).
Burning day and night the Light won’t leave us in the dark. He didn’t come to make a good man better---He died to make dead men live (Eph 2:1).
