Molof and Sulok were watching worriedly, but no one could see them. The two dark beings were agitated. “They’re over there, guys.” Sulok tried to show them where their prisoners were, but they couldn’t hear him. “What do we do now, Molof?”
“We have to get their attention somehow! We have to make them see!” Molof paced thinking. Looking over at the angels who were never far from their charges, Molof said, “If we could just outwit those bodyguards of theirs!”
As Zack and Joab walked by the climate control, passageway vent, that their prisoners had gone into, Molof ran towards Zack. Molof made him lose his balance, causing Zack to fall against the vent opening.
Zack straightened up, embarrassed, and gazed at the vent that was big enough for a man to get into. “Wait a minute!”
“What is it Zack?” Joab thought, ‘Man, Zack is so clumsy.’
“Let’s look in here!” Zack took off the vent cover, and crawled in, with Joab following close behind.
“I can’t see them! Where did they go?” Michael scanned the corridor, but he couldn’t see them. Straining his ears, he didn’t hear anything.
Without warning, Rebecca screamed. Michael looked to see one of the men holding a trembling Rebecca, with a laser pistol aimed at her. “I’ll blast her if you don’t cooperate! I’m taking her with us!”
Coming to her defense, Michael said, “No, you can’t take her! Let her go!” Michael acted like he would grab the laser pistol right out of the man’s hand.
Talitha placed her hand on Michael’s arm, to stop him. “Wait! We can’t let you take her!”
“There’s nothing you can do about it, lady!” Zack who was holding her captive said. “We’re leaving now! If you try to pursue us, we will have to kill her! My boss will be in touch!”
With that, he started backing Rebecca back the way they had come.
Knowing there was nothing they could do, they watched helplessly.
Michael started to tail them, but Talitha said, “You heard what they said. They may hurt her if you make them mad!”
“We can’t just let them take her! What if we can’t find her?”
Talitha spoke softly, to calm him down. “They said they’re boss would be in touch. They’re talking about Calzan. We can find them; we did it before. The Master will assist us just as He did before. It will be ok. I’m scared too, Michael. Nevertheless, we have to have patience, and trust the Master to take care of Rebecca. Come on, let’s go work with the computer, and find out where they’re headed. If they don’t scramble our sensors!”
Heading down to the computer room Michael thought about the last time Rebecca had been in trouble. A ship had come out of no where and started firing on her. There had been an impression that something was wrong in his spirit, and where she was, and he was able to come to Rebecca’s rescue. What happened this time? How come he couldn’t help her? What was she going through, all alone with those criminals? What would they do to her? He had to get to her, had to find her, and get her away from them.
Coming to the computer room, Talitha started asking Max the computer, if it was tracking a ship leaving the planet, Zoë.
