Oh, defenseless atheist,
Who rests a sleeping head
On linens that the Lord provides
To be your calming bed;
He regulates your breathing-
It’s rhythmic up and down
And keeps your cold heart beating
To leave you sleeping sound.
Oh, small precious atheist,
May you be brought to see
A Savior is awaiting you
As He awaited me;
In mercy He is guarding
And your Christ-loved friend
In glowing hope is praying that
You’ll trust him in the end.
while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
