Red Cinnamon and Memories of Mom
This poem dedicated to Ky Ellen
Poinsettia red and children singing Christmas Carols
All...Remind me of you; gleaming.
With your sweet pink cheeks, the memories that magically heralds;
Our childhood vaguely burried
In tears, in cheers and in the dust of those years
Now, caught at this time
The future; not behind
Pressing forward! Onward soldier; we march.
Our medals beam of the loves we've known
And those we've lost.
Because we dared and then shared
More of ourselves than some cared
Nonetheless...Our mothers loved us.
