“The Lord Your God is in the midst of you, A Mighty One, a Savior [Who Saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17 Amplified & NKJV).
Mountain moving Jehovah, armed with strength and able to keep you from stumbling “Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 24). Every Word coming forth of all His good promises never fail but in Him yes and amen! (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Faithfully keeping covenants and supplies need, the Holy One; Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob “Blessed be the Lord...there has not failed one word of all His good promise which He promised through His servant Moses” (I Kings 8:56 NKJV).
Dependable, without variableness or shadow of turning (James 1:17), and His laws forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89). With unrelenting loving compassion toward His creation (John 3:16), He will never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
What did Moses know about God? He provided in the desert. Forty long years---God sent manna, water from the rock, pillar of cloud by day, fire by night and their clothes or shoes didn’t wear out.
What did Abraham and Sarah know about the trueness of God? They received a miracle-born-son. What seemed impossible, Almighty God brought about. No plan of His can be thwarted (Job 42:2).
What did King David know about the Good Shepherd? He knew when his father and mother forsook him the Lord undertook; and, he would’ve lost heart had he not believed he’d see the goodness of God in the land of the living (Psalm 27:10-13).
What do you and I knowingly believe about the covenant-keeping Risen One?
We know the righteous have never been forsaken (Psalm 37:25) nor begging bread. We know it’s better to trust God than put confidence in man and belong to a Kingdom far greater than this. While God sustains us here, He’s preparing our ‘forever-home’ there (John 14:1-4).
To be certain of God means that we are uncertain about everything else
