But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

Joshua was a mighty warrior for the Lord and he always took care to be in perfect obedience to the Lord, he was clear in his heart for the Lord and served the Lord diligently.

"And when they had set the people, all the army that was on the north of the city, and its rear guard on the west of the city, Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley."

Joshua 8:13 (NKJV)

The above mentioned is about when Joshua was on his way to capture Ai, and the Lord gave him victory.

It is most important for the leaders today to realize that they have been appointed by the Lord and they should serve in perfect obedience and submission to the Lord, the Lord has put them in authority to govern with humility of heart and justice.

As the leader goes, so do the people being led, thus its truly blessed to have a good leader.

Every work that has been assigned to us, all the people that have been entrusted to us, the Lord wants us to be accountable for them.

We always need to seek wisdom from the Lord to do our work diligently or else our own wisdom which is often contrary to the Lord's may corrupt us.

Be it governing self, a family, a community or a nation, the wisdom to govern comes only from the Lord.

We see so much corruption in many countries, so many leaders who have been appointed to safeguard the people and the property themselves being corrupt, in such days the example of Joshua who was a perfect leader is worth following.

Joshua had one thing to say all throughout his life and which he did proclaim boldly...

" But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)

We are Christ's ambassadors in this world and our citizenship is in heaven, thus we should live as children of Light and do the deeds of Light, we will not stay forever in this world and have to be accountable to our Father when we go back.

God has placed us here to make this world beautiful and to bring glory to His holy name, thus let's live up to our calling, let's glorify His name forever.

God Bless,

Abraham
