We have no right to complain for being burnt when we have chosen to keep burning coals on our lap.
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2 (NKJV)
The greatest loss a person can ever have is separation from God, they who have experienced the presence of God can very well understand the pain in the separation from God.
For many, God’s presence might be optional, for they have never experienced the goodness of His presence.
Amongst all the experiential opportunities we have we need to be wise enough to choose to glorify God.
When we choose to sin, we are harming ourselves and thus suffer the pain and agony of a sinful behavior.
King David who loved the wonderful presence of the Lord and cherished it above all, when at once he chose to sin and having experienced the bitterness of sin prayed thus…
“Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.” Psalm 51:11 (NKJV)
God is good and His presence is blessed, let us never look back to the ugliness of sin and let us never fall into the painful sinful experience ever again.
