So often the Christian wonders why a certain prayer request has gone seemingly unanswered. It is His will to fulfill the desires of our heart. He wants to bless us with that new job, the healing our body needs, the salvation of a loved one and the ability to overcome any thorn in the flesh. So why isn't it happening?
God's power to work through us is blocked by our sin. If we are harboring in our spirit the root of bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, resentment, jealousy and other emotional sins in our heart, then He cannot move to answer our prayer request. He is locked out by the deep rooted sin, we hide from ourselves. For His divine power to work in our lives and the lives of others, we must examine ourselves and make sure there is no root cause that inhibits Him.
He hears every prayer. Our prayers are answered; all of them. We have never prayed a prayer that He hasn't answered! Still, Christ cannot and will not release His power to work in us until we have eliminated the barrier that stands between the release of each prayer request and Him. The barrier is within us. It stands tall and cast a giant shadow over everything. The root cause within us is all that is stopping the seemingly unanswered prayer from being made reality in our life.
John 14:13 says, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
In Him, we are more than conquerors. All things are possible to them that believe! He first, wants to perfect in us the personality of the Holy Spirit. We are to seek first the Kingdom of God and then all these things shall be added unto us.
He is waiting for us to confess the root cause that has kept Him from blessing us with the desires of our heart. Each day, we begin anew. His grace is sufficient for the day. If we want Him to answer our prayer request today, we need to release God's power to work!
