John 6:63 "it is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profits nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit and life"

Genesis 2:7 "and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breathe of life; and man became a living soul."

Priority misplacements is fast become an increasing issue today. People do not know what matters the most and most times, even if they do know, they still don't give fair (priority) treatment to it...They invest so much into something of less importance at the expense of the real deal. Studies have proven without doubt to us that "we invest more into what we think is more important to us" - that's how life generally is..."what you value most takes the most of your resource (time investment)." Now. here is "the spirit" and "the body" - both seeking our investments. Its most un fortunate that most Christians invest more into the flesh (body desires) at the expense of the spirit. This accounts for the below par living standard (Biblical standards) of most Christian today.

In the book of john 3:6, the Scripture (Jesus speaking) clearly points out that "..that which is born of spirit is spirit"... therefore all born again believers must know that they are spirit beings - for we are born of God (2 cor. 5:17, romans 8:8-9, 15-17).
The fact alone that "we are spirit beings" places a very important demand that we nourish our spirit being even more than we nourish our body. How do we do this? 1 peter 2:2 advises that we crave the sincere milk of God's word that we may grow thereby. In other words, "the food of the spirit is the Word of God". This is a great revelation! Just like one great man rightly said; "many wonder why they don't grow spiritually but how can they when they feed their spirit one cold snack in a week and fed their flesh 3 hot meals in a day." ther are many other reasons why we must feed our spirit and one of those reasons is what I'd like to expose to you from our opening texts today".

John 6:63 tells us that "it is the spirit that quickeneth..."
the word quickeneth here is the same as the phrase "make alive". hence that scripture reads; "its the spirit that makes alive..." one may wonder, what/who does the spirit makes alive?
on reading further, we see that one thing that the spirit makes alive here is "the body". for the scripture says; "it is the spirit that quickeneth(make alive) the flesh profits nothing..."

To back this up, am going to be making reference to Genesis 2:7. The bilbe shows us that man (the body) was made from the dust of the ground. this work of art was lifeless until God breathe "LIFE" in to it. and guess what? "it is the Spirit that makes alive". wow!!! can u see that? " the flesh is nothing - (it is dead) if the spirit is not within it">>>man is spirit. This ought to move you into giving more importance to your spirit being.

Oh my my! When you see how some people pamper and care for their skins today, you cannot help but wonder; "do they know that this flesh mere dust without the spirit?" Beauty artist every here and there, cosmetics, beauty surgeons and so on - What nonsense! everyday people live their life to gain the approval of others and to pleas their fleshy desires. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that taking care of your body is wrong but giving it more attention at the expense of your spirit is wrong! Your body is dead without your spirit. Here is a shocker "the health of your body depends on the health of your spirit".

I don't care how much you care for your body - if your spirit is not well cared for, it will reflect in your body. hahahaha... very funy right? okay:
Can you reflect back to the days of Daniel, shedrack, meshack and Abednego? These guys ate just vegetable for 3years and at the end of the day was found more beautiful both is wisdom and countenance when compared to those who ate the kings meal. Can you see this? I believe that the reason for this was because they feed their spirit even more than their flesh (Daniel 6:12). Also, the bible in the book of proverbs 4:20-22 tells us that the "word of God is life to those that find them and health to their flesh". praise God! you want a healthy flesh? feed on the word!
I don't mean to brag but I tell you that: since I found (about 6years ago), revelation of God's word concerning divine health, I've never had to visit the hospital for treatment. why? I found out from scriptures that "Jesus took away my infirmities and it was nailed with Him on the cross (matt 8:17)"> So since He took it away, it cannot be found in me! can u see that? the man Jesus took it - I got no business with sickness ever again! forever! praise God! This is what feeding on God's word can do. This is what growing your spirit can do for you. Your mind is renewed as you feed on God's word and God begins to reveal to you your real identity in Christ Jesus to you via Rhema (the revealed word). You begin to live a supernatural life even in this natural world - you become a supernatural being to others.

In conclusion, brethrens i'd urge that you feed more on the word of God. stop feeding your flesh in terms on sin. Television is filled with junks! Put a control on what you see and hear. You cannot just give your flesh whatever desires it craves. You got to be in charge. You are a spirit being. Feed your spirit being with the word of God and watch your life transform for the better. God's word is filled with so many promises and only those who finds it shall have life( can use it). This explains why the book of hosea 4:6 says "my people perish for lack of knowledge..." Get the knowledge of God's word, transform your life and start living in heaven while on earth! feed on the word! feed your spirit.
