The Marks of Christ
God is our first consideration in all that we do. Our heart and mind in in sync with Christ and our focus is on doing Godís Will and seeing to it that we do things Godís way. We are willing to put aside our thoughts and taking the mindset that was also in Christ Jesus.
The marks of a Christian is present when we have the Holy Ghost Hook-Up; for the Devil will fight us tooth, nails, and toes. We are first spiritual with Christ then natural; first Spirit, then flesh. We were created first then made. We may have been put in a pit, in prison, but we are coming out in the palace because we are of Christ. We may face things unthinkable because of our walk with Him and our purpose in God. Our bodies may have defacements about it but stay with God.
A Marred Body one full of bumps, bruises, scrapes, weird marks, broke out from head to toe
Hands that canít hardly handle anything
Feet that can hardly take you anywhere
Face that is known and not liked
Fingers that can hardly turn a page in the Bible
Bones that aches at the sign of sin
Mouth that have lost teeth due to bleeding
Nose that canít stand to smell anything
Ears that stopped up at the very sign of disrespect in the Church
Knees that donít hurt when you bend to pray
A Spine that has fits because youíve run so much or wonít bend because you want to go on in Christ
Joints that are painful
And Eyes that can hardly still focus except to see the Words in the Bible
You know when you have been beat up for the Gospel sake when the attack to your body is so great that you donít know how you are able to still run for Christ. You know that God is carrying you, you know that itís God that has delivered you when you were paralyzed and the Doctor said you will never walk again. When conditions is greater than the Doctorís expectations of you living and they pronounce you dead but God says go back, your work is not done. It doesnít matter who pronounces you dead, if God says live you are not going anywhere. Pick up the pieces and keep moving. The marks of Christ means you have been beat everyway that one can be beaten in this earth. Christ was beaten in like manner; can we take it?
Jesus supports the moral virtue Philosophy. What is the moral virtue philosophy concerning capital punishment? Why is it important? Who should possess these virtues? In life as we live it today there once existed certain principles concerning life. We were taught how we were to live and obey in all areas of life; loving God, Man, and each other. Man was to love, support, protect and provide and the woman was to love, bring forth, and make a home a home. The children were to love, honor, and obey. What has happened to these principles set for man in Godís Holy Word? Where have the virtuous women gone? Proverb 12:4 a virtuous woman is a crown to her husband but she that makes him ashamed is a rottenness in his bones.
Rottenness is as pure poison. It means we have lost our sobriety, which is our watchfulness, prayers, and temperance. When we are in sin we are as rottenness to God and bring shame upon him as the woman brings upon her husband in that same state. When our children go against what they have been taught, get in trouble and be found out, it brings about a shame to the parents. It changes our lives forever. Forasmuch as a parent have taken in their hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among their children itís never expected that they would break the laws of God or man. When they do these things it is very hurtful. Parents are first ministers of the Word, which is the perfect understanding of God. God made perfect everything from the beginning; excellent and pure. We were instructed of all things through His Word.
Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Many daughters have done virtuously but this virtuous woman excels all of the right one can do. We the whole of mankind should possess virtue in us. It should be so that we can win a lost person with the love we have to give them. It should be that one can come into our lives and be a better person because we have a strength that refuses to let them go on in a damnable way. The virtue one possesses causes others to be healed and strengthened. We should be weakened by what we see and what touches us. Virtue holds truth with in it. It calls for honesty, justice and purity in the life of man. It calls us to make right choices, do right, and be right. We are to think on things that have virtue, not the foolishness that is presented in the world. The moral philosophy calls for us to give thought to what is right and wrong in a more significant way. Of course God expects more than man does.
Who will stand up for God, and pray; why is good help hard to find? God is saying who can I send and who is willing make the sacrifices needed to get the job done? Many come to use Godís name, his goods, and his people. Many come to get rich. Many come as an easy street of a profession. Many come to build up a name for themselves rather than God. Many come to look good for their ego trip. But Jesus came to do the will and work of the Father. What do we come for today? Who can I send to accomplish the war against sin in this time? Who is willing to continue the war in the battle against sin? Who is willing to comfort my people and keep them encouraged to continuously look upon me said the Lord?
A cry is being made today that men and women everywhere will take on the blood stained banner of Christ and make a difference. Jesus walked the walk of Holiness, He taught the way of Holiness and it was his will to please His Father. Good help is hard to find. Who can we find today that is willing to stand up and proclaim Christ in the midst of adversity? Who is willing to lift the burden of others we canít see? Jesus came to his own people and they received him not. Very often the people of God will not be accepted by their family or peers.
Nehemiah had consented to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. He had received permission from the King at that time to go and see about his people. He had followers that helped him and they had a mind to work. He also had naysayers and adversaries led by Sanballat and Tobias. On the other hand he had people that mortgaged their land and homes to take care of the need for the job and the workers. They borrowed money for what they believed in. How much more should we the people of God be willing to do for Him? Sanballat and Tobias tried their best to discourage the people and blasting them for working with Nehemiah.
They didnít realize that it was God in control. Man is not God, whatís in your power to do; do that. We are to leave Godís affairs to Him. Stop trying to help him out with our own natural mind. Stop trying to pilfer a way to say God did something when we know that we lean to our understanding to do the work.
Are we ready to take on the marks of Christ and go to even if it means we have to endure death on the Cross? Jesus showed us the mystery of immortality that we shall not all sleep but we shall be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
He that sows to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Jesus has taken the sting out of death, seeing then we have hope. Godliness is profitable unto all things having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. We canít go there if we are asleep. We cannot fight the good fight of faith if we are asleep outside of Christ. Itís time to lay hold of a good foundation in Christ who have saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. We have a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Wake up and know we are ready to take somethings for Christ; even unto death.
