Children Of God Covered By The Blood
Romans 8:16-17 the Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God; and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
I Peter 1:18-21 forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot; who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Children are special, we are special. Children naturally are considered young persons of either sex. We are what we are when we are born, male or female; boy or girl. But when we are born again and become a Christian, meaning we are Christ like we must put on some things other than clothes. We must wear the covering of the blood of Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 18:3 except we be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. We are not to be forbidden to come to Him for there we find the kingdom of heaven. A child is known by his doings whether they are pure and right or playful and wrong. We too will be known for our deeds whether they are for or of Christ. The counsel of a manís heart runs deep like a river of deep water but when he understands his way he will love the way he takes. If we are children of God we love the way we take or if we are sinners we love the way we take. Whatever it is that we do we should take pleasure in it.
The just man walks in his integrity. A king scatters away evil with his eyes; everyone comes into subjection when he enters his throne. So much more Christ when he sits on the throne of our hearts we should fear what we do that we do; that it is what is right in the sight of God. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. As Children of God we learn (Isaiah 50:4) to speak what the Word says. We learn to say what God says about us and our situations. We learn to speak life to dead situations. Isaiah 9:6 for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah was speaking of the child Jesus that would come and make us children of God once again.
We are to be Spirit led, Spirit filled, and Spirit controlled. Children receive the DNA of their father. We are Christians and have received the DNA of God. Therefore brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deed of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God Romans 8:12-14. We are followers of Christ and were first called Christians at Antioch in Acts 11:26. To be the children God calls us to be we must delight in the Law of God. How do we do this? We must realize that sanctification and holiness is an inside job and manifest on the outside.
The Children of God must allow a transformation to take place in the heart; we need a heart transplant. We need the new blood flowing through us that Jesus shed on the Cross for us; that life giving blood. According to Luke we have a new covenant in Luke 22:20 this cup is the New Testament in my blood which is shed for us. This covers the whole body through the process of redemption Ephesians 1:7 in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. We are given all that God is through Christ Jesus; hope that is laid up in heaven, the Word of the truth of the Gospel, the fruit that the Word brings forth, grace, love in the Spirit, the knowledge of his Will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, strengthened with all might, patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.
Now we can walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing the knowledge of God. God has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light delivering us from the power of darkness and translating us into the kingdom of his dear Son. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature; for by him were all things created, that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions or principalities, or powers; created by him and for him; and he is before all things and by him all things consist. Jesus the head of the body will have all preeminence.
The blood of Jesus cleanses and makes us whole. It gives new life to dead stuff for it makes life whole with life giving fluid which make us live right. The natural body lives as long as there is blood flow. The precious blood of Jesus Christ makes life brand new that changes us forever. It only takes one touch from the Master. In Mark 5:25-29 There was a certain woman which had an issue of blood twelve years and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse. When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, if I may touch but his clothes I shall be whole and straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. We are the Children of God and the blood of Jesus is there for us too. When we touch Him and itís the touch of faith we cause a change to come about in our situations; for God will move.
Heirs are someone that inherits or is entitled to inherit something upon the death of someone else by will or by law. They are someone that appears to get some trait from, or carry on in the tradition of, a predecessor. We are Christ predecessors and we are to carry on in his name the work he began in the earth. Jesus died leaving us an heir-ship that cannot be denied. We cannot be denied salvation for it is ours for the asking for God has made it available to us. We are heirs that have a right to all that God through Jesus Christ has left here for us. We are children of God covered by the blood of Jesus with a promise from God to Abraham and all his descendants that we can expect to have a better life. This is the inheritance God gave us; Christ Jesus. We are joined with God through the promise of Abraham and work of Christ Jesus so we are joint heirs.
We have been doubled in. Christ is the heir of all things as being the Son of God. God who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he that appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Hebrews 1:2. A saved person is referred to as an heir of God through Christ according to Galatians 4:7 wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son then an heir of God through Christ. God has made known unto us as his children through the Spirit all mysteries concerning Christ which was not made to our forefathers. We are fellow-heirs with the Jews and are partakers of the same body and promise in Christ.
