MOSES was born to AMRAM and JOCHEBED. Moses was the youngest of 3. His older sister was MIRIAM and brother was AARON. Moses had a talk with GOD one day. GOD commanded him to go to Egypt and deliver his Egyptian family from bondage. While on his way he was nearly killed by GOD because his son was not CIRCUMSIZED. His elder brother AARON met him along the way. He and his brother went to PHAROAH and told him what thus said the lord. Pharoah was stubborn and refused to let go until GOD unleashed plagues upon him and he gave in and loosed them. MOSES led his people toward the east . The procession was slow and very frustrating. Pharoah put together a large army and followed them. When they reached a lake now called the RED SEA. As the army got closer GOD divided the waters and permitted them to return right upon them. Eventually they reached the other side of the sea. After crossing the red sea MOSES was held hostage by GOD for forty days and nights. MOSES was up there communicating with GOD. GOD gave him 10 COMMANDMENTS to read to the people but he let anger take control. He saw them sinning and smashed the tablets and killed those sinning. After repenting GOD commanded him to inscribe two other tablets two replace them, He went back to the mountain for 40 days and nights and came back and gave the commandments. MOSES had to deal with the frustration and anguish of the people waiting for the promised land. He knew what was in store but the others did not. They grew impatient. The grace of GOD kept them afloat until they reached the JORDAN RIVER. There Moses died. He was 120 years of age. GOD told him that he would not lead them across but gave them enough food to cross alone. Eventually they had to make up their mind and go to get their promise. We are just like the Egyptians. The way GOD answers our prayers is frustrating and agonizing but worth the wait all because it's GOD. Nothing else matters. Sure there are things in our way disabling our sight but with GOD there is no excuse. GOD was with them all the way and he is with you. No matter how raging the river Jordan was they had to get through if they were going to get what GOD had for them. GOD has something for us all. Stopping and complaining is not going to make it better. Stopping prolongs the process. The Egyptians had to go through the process and so do we. GOD has given us enough to keep moving.
