A call to hold on to our testimony, the Lord God encourages us through Peter how our conduct should be pure and perfect before all in such a manner as to bring glory to God.
"Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation." 1 Peter 2:11-12 (NKJV)
Not only before our own group, people and community, rather also amongst them who are not of the Lord, we have to bring glory to the Lord.
The Lord has called us as the salt of the world and the light of the world, thus the taste and brightness of a Christian life needs to be exhibited by the believer everywhere.
Has not the Lord God asked this from us?...
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
There are many who have commented on the disagreement of character between Christ and the Christians, whereas they applauded Christ for His love and sacrifice, they did not find the same in Christians.
If we are known to be a Christian, we should live like a Christian and for this we should first know Christ through His Word and through prayer.
Our Lord has gained the victory for us, we need to continue in it and remain victorious.
Father as Thou art, make me also to be.
to live in this world for Thy glory, help me to be like Thee.
Help me fulfill Thy perfect will, help me reach Thy desired goal,
Strengthen my being to move ahead, please Thee ever with my soul.
Let not shame come to Thee by me, let me never be rebellious to Thee,
