TURMOIL IN THE CENTER OF THE WORLD

To me [belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in [due] time: for the day of their calamity [is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.(Deut 32:35)

TURMOIL  IN THE CENTER OF THE WORLD- Jerusalem is known as the city in the center of the world. And Israel is the only parcel of land that God physically and personally  gave to any one country. No one or no country will ever take this promise land away from God's people.

Some 2,500 years ago the great Persian king Cyrus ended the Babylonian exile of the Jewish people. He issued a famous edict in which he proclaimed the right of the Jews to return to the land of Israel and rebuild the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. That’s a Persian decree. And thus began an historic friendship between the Jews and the Persians that lasted until modern times.

“In our time the Biblical prophecies are being realized,” as the prophet Amos said, they shall rebuild ruined cities and inhabit them. They shall plant vineyards and drink their wine. They shall till gardens and eat their fruit. And I will plant them upon their soil never to be uprooted again (Amos 9:14-15).The people of Israel have come home never to be uprooted again.”

One need only read the latest newspaper headlines, or watch the nightly TV news, to see this old world  seems to be on a collision course to nowhere, while searching for a lasting peach. For centuries, various religions such as the Jews, Christians and Muslims, have made their way to Jerusalem, in search of God. So, how  important is this eternal city in the middle of the world ?

Well, our Lord Jesus Christ thought this city at the center of the world to be important, as there are only two recorded occasions when Jesus Christ wept.  Once when his beloved friend, Lazarus, died in (John 11:35), and once when he looked on Jerusalem and wept over that city. (Luke 19:41).

So, no wonder Jerusalem is known as the city in the center of the earth. God planned it that way. Is it not time now to put on your thinking cap and reflect ? How does modern America stand in defense of Jerusalem and modern day Israel? How do you feel, about this ancient country, half way around the world? Regardless of your stand on the Middle East, America is treading on thin ice if America considers any philosophy outside of Gods eternal protection of Israel. ( Psalm 122:6 ) ( Numbers 24:9 ) ( Zechariah 2:8 ) ( Malachi 3:6 ) ( Joel 3: 1-3 ) ( Psalm 83:1-18 )

I can't help but wonder, seeing all the evil and misguided words leveled against Israel ( 1 Cor 15:33), if God has already removed His blessing from America. Just look around. What about all those unusual weather patterns that are causing a multitude of death and injury, not to mention the cost of the physical losses. What about the civil disobedience, among all age factions of the world? What about the economy woes ? What about the tremulous killing of the unborn babies ? What about disobeying God's laws of marriage ?  Have we turned into a ” name it and claim it"," I deserve it so give it to me" ungodly society.? Or, are we just living in the last days, as described by the scriptures? I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

Yes, we are indeed living in peerless times, when one misguided spoken phrase could possible trigger an all out confrontation among nations. Especially, those nations located in the middle east. So, is it right, to judge others? Or, should we just leave the judgment to the all-knowing heart of God ? I guess it may depend if we are judging our fellow believers (1Cor 5:12-13) (Romans 16:17-18) or those non-believers.(1 John 4:1) (Revelation 2:2)

We know from history that  Israel has suffered much persecution. Some by its own doing (Exodus 32:32-33) ( Deut. 24:16) ( Ezekiel 18:1-4),  but also some by false accusations. However, throughout history, God's divine hand has continued to be on Israel. (Gen9:28)  God's word makes it perfectly clear that He will punish both nations and its people, according to their deeds.( Obadiah 1:15 ) You see, that's God's business. We, as Christians, should continue to back God's chosen ones, as  it's only right, as Christians, to stand up firm for God's principles, concerning His chosen people. (John 7:24 ) ( Luke 6:31 ) ( 2 Cor 5:10 )  ( Proverbs 31:9)

Now we know that human nature dictates that we shun away from those who consistently bring harsh judgment upon others. We want to make sure that we ourselves will not be the next victim, thus we feel impelled to resort to the self-defense mode, when exposed to such actions, and not get involved. Let's not allow this physiology to  include the unjust treatment of Israel.God will surely take care of evil. (Romans 12:19)

The day of Israel's full restoration is near. Our Heavenly Farther will make it possible and we shall all live in peace, Jew and Gentile alike. Until He comes, we, who believe the Bible to be God's Word and that every promise of God will come to pass, must stand and support Israel's right to its land. It is a Divine right, given by God Himself.

Please be patient with those who do not believe the Bible, nor accept Israel's right to the land. Yet, with love for all, we must strongly support Israel's right. We cannot do otherwise and have clear consciences. We cannot say on the one hand that we believe there is a God Who has revealed His perfect will in His Holy Scriptures, and on the other hand, deny Israel its right to the land God promised to her.(Psalm 102:13)

We are not privy to, nor do we know, when Israel's  setting will be changed, in accordance with God's prophetic word. So, put action to your prayer, as a definite promise follows those who pray for Israel (Jerusalem). God blesses those who love and Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. ( Psalms 122:6-7 ) However, we Christians should continue to stand with Israel, as they battle the evil propaganda, the half-truths, and politics, of remaining peoples of the earth.

What is the solution ? How may we help ? Simply put, we need an old fashion revival. ( 2 Chronicles 7:14) God's promise in (Genesis 12:3) is just as true today, as when it was given. If we support God's people, we will be blessed. If we turn our back on Israel, then look out. We are not privy to, nor do we know, when our religious setting will be changed, in accordance with God’s prophetic word. So, put action to your prayer, as a definite promise follows those who pray for Jerusalem (Israel). (Psalm 122:6-7)
