The people of the Lord had to go through much trouble and turmoil, yet in many, where they experienced miraculous deliverance in some they also had to taste defeat.
God can never go wrong and He never fails, and thus victory and defeat is determined by His presence or absence. However God is not ignorant of our situation, He knows it all, and He sees it all.
In one of the saddest moments in history, this is what happened to the house if the Lord.
" He burned the house of the Lord and the king’s house; all the houses of Jerusalem, that is, all the houses of the great, he burned with fire."
Jeremiah 52 :13 (NKJV)
If we take it in literal sense, in which we should actually take it, how could anyone destroy God's house? however the house that has been abandoned or rather from where God Himself was driven out by His own people and in which His dwelling is no more is open for the devil to play around and destroy.
God has never changed and will never ever change, He has brought the literal meaning of His house in the New testament when He said...
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? " 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NKJV)
Our body is the house of God and sin and God cannot co-exist, even though no one would ever cast out God from their lives, for we all often tend to be religious beings, however invitation letter to the devil for sin is actually termination letter to God in our lives, the moment we invite sin, ignoring the pursuance of The Holy Spirit to be holy, we are actually driving God our of His temple and we are working out on our own self destruction.
God has created us, to dwell in us, to be with us, to work through us, to let the world see His light through us.
As we maintain our holiness before God, we are securing ourselves form all the vicious attacks of the devil, for when God is within His temple, the devil will not even dream of harming it, thus kindly check the presence of God in your life, the condition of His temple (your heart and body) to dwell in and then be rest assured that no one can ever take the peace that comes from God staying within us, for He Himself has said....
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. " John 14:27 (NKJV)
So , no worries, no tension, if God dwells within, thus invite Him into your life today, for He is waiting for your invitation to come in and bless you.
