“But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” Then they willingly received Him into the boat and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.”
Many of us need to hear these words from God today: “It is I; do not be afraid.” Perhaps you have been going through a time of uncertainty and anxiety. Maybe you have recently experienced painful circumstances which were completely unexpected and have made you wary of new or unknown people or situations. However, the Lord Jesus asks you to trust Him today. He never left your side through everything you have been through. He wants to bring light into your life and the breakthrough you have been waiting for, so receive His Word today with an open heart:
Let Jesus into your boat. God wants us to receive Him wholeheartedly and give ourselves completely to Him. He is looking for a full time relationship and a lifelong commitment. Give it all over to Him. Many people have been dating Jesus for many years, meeting Him on Sundays for a few hours or checking in with Him for a few minutes every day. He is calling you into a permanent relationship and a heart to heart, moment to moment living walk of give and take. He has loved you from the dawning of time and has been waiting for you to say ‘I do’ and give your heart completely to Him! The disciples were fishermen and their boat represented their life’s walk and work. When Jesus says He wants to step into our boat, He is looking to stage a takeover! He wants to come in and be the center of your life. He wants to be able to speak into your relationships, decisions, finances, health and walk with Him. He wants to take you into all the fullness of the blessing He has for those who are His, hallelujah! When you have a revelation of His love, you cannot continue to be afraid, because His perfect love drives out all fear. Invite Jesus into your boat!
No more sinking or stagnation! When the disciples ‘willingly received’ Jesus into the boat, they made instant progress. Not only did they experience His Divine Peace dispelling the storm but “immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.” They had been rocked around by the storm, just managing to stay afloat and not really getting anywhere, but when Jesus stepped right in, everything changed! Friend, maybe you have been experiencing a level of frustration and confusion and have felt like you were just going round the same mountain over and over. You may have been asking yourself (or God) what is going on and why your situation is not changing. Perhaps you need to let go and let God! His ways are higher than ours and His is always the best way! Fear holds you back from stepping into your destiny but Jesus wants to break that fear off your life by the power of the Holy Spirit. He wants to fill you up with His peace and joy. Give it all over to the Prince of Peace and He will take you where you need to be – on higher ground. No more going around in circles. God is setting you up for promotion!
Dear Friend, would you let Jesus come into your boat and be Lord over every aspect of your life? He has plans for you and they are plans which would fill you with hope and joy. Rededicate your life to Jesus and step into the fullness of God’s desires for you. You will be stepping on to higher ground. You are His disciple and His special friend, and today I declare acceleration for you as you surrender your ‘all’ to Jesus and lay your life at His feet. Expect things to begin to change, and know that all God’s purposes for you will be fulfilled from this day forth, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
