The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."(Psalm 9:`17)
America has gone through many changes since becoming a "Christian" Nation. The Constitutional " Freedom of Religion" has suddenly become "Freedom from Religion". How wrong this is ? Our founding "Fathers" surely meant that we were free to worship whomever you choose or to not worship anyone at all. So, I am free to worship God. Openly and fervently. But the voice of a few has drowned out the voice of the many. And God is being denied at a breakneck pace. The further God is pushed out, the further away from blessing our Nation is.( Genesis 12:3) Those who deny God so as not to offend another had better be ready to have God deny them. These aren’t my words, they are God’s. (Luke 9:26) Whether you believe God's word or not, whatever will be, will be, in accordance with God's eternal plans. God said it and thats that, no one will stop it. Just look around you, and take note of the unusual weather patterns happening today. Has God removed His blessing from our land ?
According to NCDC the year 2012 was the second costliest year since 1980, ranking second to the year 2005.The 2012 statistics included seven severe weather and tornado events, two tropical cyclone events, and the yearlong drought and its associated wildfires. These 11 events killed over 300 people and had devastating economic effects on the areas impacted. The two major drivers of the damage costs in 2012 were Sandy at approximately $65 billion and the yearlong drought at approximately $30 billion. Sandy’s large size, with tropical storm force winds extending nearly 500 miles from the center, led to record storm surge, large-scale flooding, wind damage, and mass power outages along much of the East Coast.
And now just look around you here in 2013. Major wild fires, rain and flooding, wind damage, and the like, as this unusual weather pattern continues. Not to mention our nations other critical dilemmas, such as a struggling economy, sustainable debt, blatant lawlessness, civil disobedience, government complacency, government denial, etc. Is it not time for us Christians to drop to our knees and beg for mercy ? ( 2 Chronicles 7:14)
So, what do we want as a nation and individually ? Do we want a curse or do we want to be blessed ? You see, if we give a blessing, God will graciously give us a blessing. ( 1 Peter 3:9) I'm not saying we should overlook the sinful acts against God's commandments. We are charged by God to stand up for the principles of scripture, but are also instructed to do so in love.( Ephesians 4:15), and with patent understanding. (2 Timothy 2:24-26) Always remember. (Proverbs 15:1)
Once, while in grammar school, I had a problem of one individual school mate lifting candy bars from my desk. Back then, we had desk that would open up to enable us to store various needed items. After receiving some wise counseling, I approached this youngster the next time my candy was missing, and with a smile gave him two of the same type candy bars. Guess what, the stealing stopped abruptly. You see, when we bless those who curse us, we break the cycle of anger and hatred. (Romans 12:20-21)
So, as individuals we may not change the weather, or any other sovereign plans of God. However, how did God deal with us when we were ignorantly lost in our sinful blindness ? Did he curse us with eternal judgment ? No, He loved us enough to send His son to die for us, showing us mercy when we deserved everlasting wrath.(John 3:16) We must then use this pattern as an example when dealing with a lost world. Remember, we are the only Bible some people will ever read. (Philippians 2:5)
We should always comment those in authority to prayer.(1 Timothy 2:1-2) When it comes to the "things of the kingdom", we should not be Democrat, Republican or Independent, but rather a Born Again Servant of the Most High God. It is our relationship with God that truly counts in the end. (Philippians 1:21)
Conversly, we should not pray for anyone in authority, who enact policies that are contrary to God’s law. Remember when the Apostle Peter was rebuked for preaching the gospel (Acts 5:28), but replied that he would obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29)
As mention at the start of this synopsis, an honest look at what is happening in our country—economically, militarily, morally, socially spiritually—shows that we are obviously suffering curses for our sins. Frankly, those curses are bound to intensify under an administration with more respect for its own self-made ideals than for the authority of Scripture. We should have no illusions about that.
Throughout history, God has used ungodly individuals to perfect his divine sovereign will. (Ezek 14:9) ( 1 Sam 16:14) Is God now using a particular ungodly individual or politicial faction, as a means of cursing our nation ? (1Cor 4:4) We are not privy to knowing the future, so we must just trust God.
In conclusion, we should do as Christ did, put ourselves totally in the Father hands, knowing that God is in control. For example, when Jesus came before Pilate, He submitted Himself to that authority. He knew governmental leaders have no authority but what God gives them. Like us all, they are all only a heartbeat away from "heaven" or "Hell". Regardless of what we think, everything occurs in accordance with God's ultimate purpose . (John 19:10-11)
Author's Post Note
If America touches God’s prophetic plan and people, she will be sticking a finger in the eye of God: “For he that touches you, touches the apple of His eye,” (Zechariah 2:8.) “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent,” (Isaiah 62:6)
Throughout history, the nations that came against Jerusalem were cursed by God and ended up in dust and ashes. The Roman Empire collapsed after destroying the Temple and leveling Jerusalem. Israel was God’s dream; the title deed belongs to God Almighty. When He gave Jerusalem D.C. (David’s capital) to the Jewish people, there was no Washington, D.C. or even a United Nations—only pagan nations. The prophetic spotlight of heaven is on Israel. It all began there, and it will all end there.
You see, the United States has been in prophecy ever since the inauguration of George Washington, who on April 30, 1789, placed his hands on Genesis 49:10, which reads: “The scepter shall not depart from Judah…Until Shiloh comes.” From that day forward, America has been blessed, because she has blessed the Jewish people and Israel. (Genesis 12:3) says, “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee.”
