You allure me with your beauty
I want to love you truly
It's no wonder I'm undone just thinking about it
There once was a darkness which consumed me
It limited my ability to love you freely
And my heart became as hard as sticks and stones
Which break our bones and leave us weak and helpless
But then you came into my desert
Left me senseless, breathless
Like a rose tasting raindrops
Like a farmer harvesting tenfold crops
I never could have planned for this,
To be reminded about love is surely bliss
You make my night feel like daylight
I'll keep waiting here for you
When all is said and done,
No one but you stuck around
When the smoke had cleared
And I raised my head to look in the mirror
I saw someone so broken who would never be the same.
Yet,It was in my embracing pain as beauty
That a saviour finally came.
Yes you came into my desert
Left me senseless, breathless
Like a rose tasting raindrops
Like a farmer harvesting his crops
I never could have planned for this,
To be reminded about love is surely bliss
You make my night feel like daylight
I'll keep waiting here for you
