I have been MIA the last few weeks; haven't done much writing, because I have been consumed with finding a new place to live. I have until the end of May to be packed up and shipped out of my current residence. On top of that, I am searching for a new school for my daughter, because this is her last year in her current school. I feel slightly overwhelmed and almost frustrated mixed with a hint of anxiety. Newspaper ads are almost non-existent, so I've taken to the car, and searched the old fashioned way - driving through neighborhoods. There is a certain neighborhood and environment I am looking for, and the school has to meet my particular standards. I am beyond ready for a change and would love to move out of state, but don't think that is the best move for me right now.
After too many moments spent racking my brain and absorbing a headache, the simplest words passed through my spirit, "Give it to God". At first, I didn't know what to do with it, but I knew it was the Holy Spirit speaking. Honestly, it stumped me. Through all the months of searching and trying to make a concrete decision, I never consulted God. I mean, I prayed on it, but I never asked Him to take complete control over the decision. I didn't ask Him to lead me where He wanted me and my child to be. I was so concerned about what I wanted and didn't want, I forgot to see what God wanted for me. And one thing I know He didn't and doesn't want for me is to worry. At times, my concerns seem so trivial, that I hate to bother God with it. Sometimes I feel like I can handle the "small" stuff without bombarding God. I feel like I am so blessed, I shouldn't go to God with little things that I can handle myself. But, You foolish Galatian! Who has bewitched you? (Galatians 3:1).
This is not and never will be the case. God is concerned about EVERY one of our problems. EVERY issue that troubles us, He cares. God's desire is to work it out; to fight the battle on our behalf, so He can receive the Glory. There is no problem too big or too small for God. God is concerned. It is so easy to say, "Give it to God", when we really don't know how to. As human beings, we have a tendency of wanting to take control over our situations and correct them before they grow and fester into something larger. It is hard to sit back and wait on the Lord, because He may not be moving as fast as we'd like. But the truth is, God doesn't operate in our time, He works in His own time. He works in His glory, which in turn will manifest into our favor.
I had to repent and seek God for direction. God is a loving and caring Father who wants to be included in every aspect of His children's lives. I am full of confidence, faith, and hope, that Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit will lead me and guide me into all truth (John 16:13). When moving day comes, I will not only have the home that I want and the school that I desire for my child, but I will be situated in God's will. My life is not my own, I am only a vessel passing through this earth, living for the glory of Jesus Christ. Where He leads me, I will follow.

If there is an issue that is troubling you today, don't be afraid to turn it over to God. It doesn't matter what it is; there is nothing too hard for Him to do. Always seek God for direction concerning your life. God came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Abundant life is not a life of worry, frustration, strife, or anxiety. It is a life of peace, happiness, love, and joy. Jesus loves you and He is waiting for you to give it all to Him, so He can make it good. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11: 29-30)
