All one has to do is to type in the words "Harry Potter" on the internet and these words will come up: wizard, witchcraft, sorcery, magic, and spells.
In Deuteronomy 18:10-11 a warning is given. "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead." That is very clear, isn't it.
Further warning is given in II Kings 21:6 and in II Chronicles 33:6. These passages also say that God is very angry with people who engage in anything to do with these practices. Sorcery is mentioned in Malachi 3:5, Galatians 5:20, Revelation 21:8, and 18:23, as something to avoid. The same thing can be said for mediums and wizzards in Isaiah 8:19.
Even though they are only movies and books, what you read and look at has a definite influence upon your thinking and goes into your subconscious mind. The occult and all the things in HARRY POTTER are not just fiction. It is a very real world that God condemns because it is part of the Satanic kingdom. There are real witches! There is real satanic magic and there are real people who practice witchcraft! There is also a Church of Satan!
If you do not know this, you need to wake up!
As a side note, there should be no playing with Ouija Boards, either. They have satanic power. There are stories of people who know. In fact, I just finished reading a story about a young lady who grew up in a Christian home, started using an Ouija Board, and ended up becoming a real witch, complete with all of the satanic powers that go along with it. Fortunately, she got out of it, repented, and returned to her faith. Don't play the table game, DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS, either. It is a satanic game.
Now, getting back to HARRY POTTER. Recently, I heard a radio program informing listeners that even some church youth groups read the book, together, at church. How disturbing and sad! Any youth ministers who are allowing that ought to be ashamed of themselves.
Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the worldly forces of darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Then in I Peter 5:8 it says "Be of sober spirit; be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."
Don't have anything to do with HARRY POTTER. In fact, it may be a good idea to have a book burning ceremony like they had in the early 1st century Church, which is recorded in Acts 19:19! Young people, if you are truly serious about your Christian faith, you will not read the books or see the movies of HARRY POTTER. They will destroy your faith. This means you might have to be a leader and take a stand, instead of being a follower of your friends. That would be very difficult, for sure, but God would be very pleased with you. Your entire Christian faith is on the line! Don't become a prey of Satan.

Greetings John! I enjoyed your Harry Potter article. Too many professing Christians and church leaders unfortunately see nothing wrong with Harry Potter. In fact they justify it by saying it exercises the imagination of youth and helps foster their creativity. Satanic lies! You might enjoy my article "Harry Potter and the Rise of the Occult."
