Being Abundantly Satisfied

After all I have done for man was it a lost cause? Was what God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost did for the sake of mankind enough? We have to wonder about that since man treats God the way they do. God abandoned His Son, The Word made flesh, Jesus the one who worked the Work of Christ in the earth, The Messiah of promise, The Son of Man, The Savior, The Lord of Glory, The Prophet, The King, the source of our knowledge and the one that loved us so much He gave all for us. The picture we have of Jesus Christ is summed up in the effort of some men to get rid of Christ but in their efforts it only called fresh attention to the wonder and power of the Christ.

Christ Jesus is not one of manís inventions but is solely the work of God. The witness of the centuries confirms the power of the Risen Christ who lives in the hearts of men today. The picture of Christ drawn by Paul agrees with that in the Gospels and in the hearts of those who worship Jesus as Lord and Savior. After many years of waiting for the Messiah, many Prophets and then an absence of Prophets the promise of the Messiah had been made repeatedly; but he did not come. The hope of the Messiah rose and fell with the centuries, hope faded away. Christ however did come in a body, born of a woman, no earthly father, no trumpets sounding and in complete silence. God shut the mouth of Zacharias who came out of the Temple where the crowd awaited him to tell them of the Christ. The secret of Elizabeth and Mary was kept although it interested a lot of people; but the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus stayed on a silent note. Sometime God wants to do things for us but we talk too much. We give up our dreams and visions too fast. God was doing all He did for man. Was it a lost cause?

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice; holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that food and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Ephesians 6:10-13 finally my brethren be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rules of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in his places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand.

After God went through all that He did, He abandoned this son at the hour of darkness when He consumed the sin of the world? Why? He did it for us! Jesus cried out in Mark 15:34 at the ninth hour when He felt most lonely feelings in his earthen life to the Father, Eloi, Eloi, lama, sa-bach-thaíni? He was asking God; my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? After all we are flesh and flesh cries out ignorantly when it is hurting; Jesus was lonely like our flesh will never know. Look like when we need God the most, He is not there. Jesus had been present with God. I can imagine Jesus saying ďFather after all I have done for man, now you have left meĒ? God abandoned the sin Jesus died for not the Christ though. Why did God abandon His Son? He did it for us that while Jesus was dying, Christ the Spirit could breathe life on us again. Do we even care what was sacrificed for us? Because we were made of flesh, breathe upon by the Spirit the Spirit had to come in a flesh body to show us back to God through the Spirit. It was the Spirit of God in man that Adam gave up to satisfy the new found pleasure of the flesh. Thatís why Christ came in the body of a man that we will understand that what was first to be obeyed could be obeyed. God said taste not, touch not, feel not, see not, smell not, do not, go not, just obey.

Are we so naive we will continue to play with or take chances with our soul for eternity? Eternal life is a promise but it takes sacrifice too on our part for it. Jesus was a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God and he felt abandoned not only by God; but man too. Every time we sin we abandon him over and over again. All that had been with didnít go to the cross with him and we arenít willing to die for his sake either. We donít serve God by how we feel but in Spirit and in Truth. God has feelings, but He is more than just a feeling. He have eyes but sees all, his vision is not limited like man. He hears all, all at the same time; He hears your call and my cry. He speaks the same thing over and over again; He does not deviate from what He says today. What He said today, He means today. He will speak the same thing on tomorrow. He will touch us with his finger of love; He will touch our infirmities. He will touch us at the point of our need. His hands are not too short to help us; so where was He when Jesus cried out? He was there, sin is unacceptable. Some things we have to come through it to prove the trying of our faith is sure.

Ephesian 1:8 He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence. The manifold wisdom of God makes known to man concerning principalities and powers in the heavenly places through His Sonís tribulation, rejection, loneliness, sufferings, and persecutions. It brought about a new hope for man if man only look to God as Jesus did and inquire of Godís wisdom concerning every situation. Our situation if dealt with right will bring glory, blessings, honor, wisdom, thanksgiving, power and might to God forever. We should be abundantly satisfied.

After all that God has done for us, what more can he do? He gave it all. He has shown us His wondrous works and how they are done in truth. He gave us the Word, which is the Truth and is right. We need to realize that among the gods there is none like God; neither are there any works like Godís works. What are we thinking, was it a lost cause? God did all He did for mankind. Jesus did all He did for man. The Holy Spirit still today works hard for us. God has done great things for us, great miracles and wonders that his mercy would abide forever. Jesus said he walked in the way of good men, kept the paths of righteousness, chose God over feeble men, subjected himself to death and we still leave Him hanging. We should be abundantly satisfied.

The flesh and its weaknesses separate us from God, for there is no weakness in Him. Weakness of the flesh causes man to do evil one to another. Jesus knew man was weak and Satan was his enemy. He didnít ever blame man for what was going on in the earth. He knew who the battle was with; between God and Satan and man is caught up in the middle. Thatís why He told the men in Matthew 5:44, but I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. If a man smite one on the left cheek, God says to turn the right cheek to be hit also. Man values possessions too much even making them an idol and an enemy to God. We are to give all diligence to serve God with all that is within us. We should be abundantly satisfied with what God has done for us that we see man as God sees them.
