The Enemy

Romans 16:17-20 now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause division and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned, and avoid them. For they that are such serve not the Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. For your obedience is come abroad unto all men, I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet would have you wise unto that which is good and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, Amen.

David said in Psalm 45 in all majesty and grace of the kingdom of Christ that his heart was inditing a good matter because he was speaking of the things which God had made known unto him touching his heart and his tongue was ready to speak as the pen of a ready writer and give God the honor due unto Him. He gave praise and reverence to God that blessed Godís heart. We too must get back to where we humbly submit our lives to God once again, pant after Him in our soul and keep Satan under our feet where Jesus has put him. Satan is our number one enemy!

The opposed and opposition of God, the accuser of the brethren, and death itself; all these names refer to one already defeated foe, Satan. Satan does exist through the power of evil. He is the force behind all evil and the father of all lies. He is the force of evil that breaks up marriages, deceives man, steal manís joy and peace and kills the souls of man. God gives man life, joy, and peace; righteousness and salvation, redemption and the Holy Ghost. Satan the opposition of God gives death, unrighteousness, pain, sorrow, rejection and evil. He once had fellowship with God but broke that fellowship in heaven, walking among God. He wanted to be God in heaven now he wants to be the God of the earth when he has already been adjudged and convicted; being sentenced to hell and damnation to burn with fire and brimstone forever and eternally. Surely he desires company and we donít have to let it be us! We are not the defeated one.

How do we stay cleansed and out of the evil that presents itself to us? How do we continue to let God be known and we keep our flesh silent? We simply must keep God in our hearts and allow the heart of the Spirit to continuously have free course in our lives. How do we keep the heart of the Spirit alive? We must simply allow God to be magnified in our lives and keep our mind at bay while the Spirit take front and center stage in our hearts. We must rely on the Word of God coming alive in our hearts. When the Spirit comes alive in our hearts we delight ourselves in the Word through meditation day and night. We bow down before the one and only true righteous God in true worship. We lay prostrate before Him and allow God to speak to our mind through the ear of the Spirit. These are the prerequisites of keeping Satan under our feet where Jesus placed him at Calvary. We are not the defeated one but winners through Christ Jesus.

Many believe what they know nothing about. We are warned not to lay up treasures here in the earth but in heaven. When we lay up treasures of God we put on the whole armor of God and run the race set before us with patience. Everyday a base is added that we must make it safely to. We have to make it to the next base safe also and continue the race. We leave bases behind because we are trying to make it to home plate. Just like in baseball we are trying to score points but it is up to us to follow the plan of God just as the ball players follow the plan of their coach. Our ultimate goal is to score a homerun but if we make it to base and someone else help along the way we can still get there. So it is with Christ, He came to redeem us and help us to get to the home plate again. Home plate is Heaven and Heaven is where our heavenly Father dwells awaiting our arrival. We would love to hit a home run, but this way is full of bases that we need to get to. This race is not to the swift or to the strong but to them that endure to the end, the same shall be saved. Salvation is at the home plate because of the home run Jesus made for all of mankind. Jesus made safe passage for us again to see our heavenly Father. All we have to do is follow the plan of salvation. Jesus posted the equity in our spiritual house. He now calls for us to be the observer of menís justice and righteousness which is in God.

Luke 21:34 and take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness and cares of this life and so that day comes upon you unawares

Many believe what they know not. As Christians we believe we will die and go to heaven. Many believe there is no heaven but they canít account for all that has been concerning Christianity. Satan has made a decree that he will show God how much man loves you; they will curse you to your face. He is still the father of all lies. Every evil decree ever spoken was and is from Satan. We must be careful of the order and regulations we follow. We must also be careful of the ones we make that they are after God. Everything from the enemy is deceitful; insincere. His tongue is deceitful and his heart too! His witness of us also is not true.

John 12:43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Satan has shown man that we are to praise each other rather than praise God together in unity. He makes us desire that which we are not worthy of. He wants us to deny God what is rightfully due him. We love to be noticed and seen of men. Matthew 7:20 wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. If he can get us to portray something other than praise God he will cause us to be made a fool of.

The enemy of our soul is always there to steal Godís due! We can only be defeated when we donít remain the overcomer Christ has made us. We can only be defeated when we fail to conquer the sin presented to us by the defeated one; Satan. Sin must be vanquished in our lives. It must be overpowered, subdued, defeated suppressed and crushed. We cannot become overwhelmed with the guilt of sin if we fall. Get up and be purged again; donít give up at round one we have many rounds to go and every round goes higher and higher. The greater the round with the enemy; the greater the demon to be decimated, killed. Then we must no longer have fellowship with them that pulled us away from or caused us to walk unworthy before God. We are defeated when we donít learn to receive one another in Christ. We are defeated when we are not perfect and of a good courage, of one mind, living in peace and our fellowship is not with the Father, and his Son Jesus Christ. When we follow Christ Jesus, him being our living, true and perfect example of true holiness and love for God we cannot be defeated.

We are not the defeated one, we walk in light and in God we find no darkness at all. If we say we are in the same ship with God and walk in darkness we lie and do not the truth. We cannot entreat each other in love if we walk in darkness. In darkness is the defeated one; we are not the defeated one; the enemy of our soul is.
