Almost To The End
Donít Let Grace Run Out

Acts 26:27-31 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. And when Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost and altogether such as I am, except these bonds. And when he had thus spoken the king rose up, and the governor and Bernice, and they that sat with them; and when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves saying, this man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

Paul was adjudged and given his freedom because he once again stood on Godís Word. He gave the words to answer the Jews accusations to King Agrippa (Acts 26:1-25) as he had King Caesar. He had already been put in prison by the Jews of the religious world because he preached repentance to the Gentiles. They sought to kill Paul but Paul had come from a long ways to get what God gave him; if he came to an end it was going to be with Christ so it didnít matter what they did to him. What he cared about was pleasing God and loving Him more than himself; for Christ I live and for Christ I will die.

God bring us to situations, circumstances and conditions but He does not change being God as we go through these things. We are to maintain our integrity and diligently go through whatever it is that we have to go through to get to where God wants us. Paul was in prison but he stood on what he believed, he spoke the Word. Because he spoke the Word he was bound and the same Word set him free. He could have missed Heaven had he took down in his situation. The odds were stacked up against him but he stood and because of it many others were also delivered out of that prison. Acts 27:1 and when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius, a centurion of Augustusí hand. Our deliverance is not determined by what we go to but how we come out; rather or not we come out with the God we went into the situation with.

So many times we get up right before a blessing, right before deliverance comes. We move too fast because we get inpatient with God and ourselves. What is it that we have to prove if we say we belong to God; the Word will deliver us? We because of his righteousness walk in his grace, love, joy, and peace. Everything that was made was made by Him, even us; He made us and knows all about us. He knows what we will do, how we will do it and when. He knows the why in our lives. God is awesome all by and in of himself! If we love God like we say we do we wonít do anything to hurt his heart. We so often sell ourselves short; we fail to continue in our belief. We fail to continue to trust that whatever state we are in that God is there. God is our help in all things.

Almost is not good enough, Matthew 24:13 but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Supposing that Jesus would have sold us out, where would we be now? There would be no grace for us; we would be living under Satanís rule now. If Paul would have kept shut concerning God; he would have lost his soul as he would have been put to death and his ministry to the Gentiles would have been lost. We would not have all those books in the Gospel he wrote to those Churches that encourages us today. In them are the wisdom, understanding and knowledge we need today to help us endure our walk with Christ. It is Godís will and desire that all men be saved for all souls are his. Judgment also of those souls is his to make. Because we start out with God donít mean we will necessarily end with Heaven for our home eternally.

Choices are put before us daily; if I do this or do that. What are we going to do when we are faced with getting what we need? Will we wait on God or just go and steal what we want or need? The temptation to do wrong is always there presenting itself to us; it presented itself to Jesus right after he was fully consecrated in Luke 4:1-13. Jesus was full of the Holy Ghost returning from Jordan and being led by the Spirit into the wilderness. The Holy Ghost leads us and guides us into all truths and we are to think on things that is pure and true; for we have need to know the Word. The Holy Ghost brings all things to our remembrance. When Satan tried to tempt Jesus three times offering him even the world that was already His as an inheritance from his Father he told him Satan for it is written!

Jesus had a choice to know the Word, know who it was that was speaking to him and if he was going to love the world more and stay here or go back with the Father. We fail because we hear the part word Satan gives us without investigating it against the Word to see what else goes with what he speaks to us. He is deceptive in that he always offers part truths of what the Word of God says. Thatís why we have to be learned in the Word of God, Spirit filled, Spirit led, and Spirit controlled. If Jesus had to be and He came from God what do we think? Thatís why we almost make it; we cannot be ignorant concerning God, his Word, or his Spirit. It is more important than the food we eat daily. It is more important that most things we think are important. If we are to make the right decisions in life they must be filled with the Word of God; we must give ear to what the Word says about the situation.

We live in a time in America where we cannot just choose a leader; he must be God sent. If we are to remain a people free we must go back to putting our whole trust in God. Why do we think our money say ďIN GOD WE TRUSTĒ? Itís because our forefathers trusted God for their all and all. They lived their lives that God would be pleased; God was first. The people in I Samuel 10 wanted a King and chose Saul to be king so oil was poured over him but it was known to them in I Samuel 12:1 that he was the peopleís choice and not Godís; God had already anointed David to be King. It is a time that we as a people must really rely on what God desires and not our own wit! Saul was tall and goodly but with the choices of unrighteousness he made he led them back into exile again. Sin is a reproach against any nation.

The reign of Saul was beset with many unfortunate circumstances and acts of disobedience. He was rude to the future anointed King; David who twice spared his life when he had the choice to kill him or not. Saul was revengeful and suspicious and in this spirit ordered the slaying of eighty six priests, Ahimelech included. Afterward he lost his brave and dauntless spirit and was overtaken by the Philistines when they invaded his kingdom. When we do things our way God leaves us all alone and when we do seek him he will not be found.

What are we selling out to? Now what do we do when it seems that God is not there? Do we seek for other means of getting what we want? Or do we seek for God until he be found and repent our ways? Every way that a man takes is not always Godís way. We are to stand in unity with the Word as followers of Jesus in worship (Ephesians 6:18), in unity with other believers (St. John 17:21) and in the union between Christ and His church (St. John 15:1-27). When we do things any other way than that we find ourselves falling short of the glory and grace of God. God is a God that works his Word and Spirit to get things done. How good and how pleasant it is for us to dwell together in unity; we can get things done also. We sell ourselves short when we fail to realize that we need each other. We need one heart and that is after God to please Him. We possess nothing on our own we have all things common because everything belongs to God. We then should all glorify God with one mind and one mouth. When we speak the Word we all say the same thing. When we sell out God or one another division has come in one form or another and we are no longer perfectly joined together. Saul sold out to the people and lost the whole nation; what are we doing? God will have a people that will walk by his rule and mind the same things, follow him, endeavor to keep unity, love one another and be willing to stand up for righteousness and truth.

Almost to the end what are we going to do? Man has a duty to God to love the Lord God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our might. Are we really putting forth our best effort to keep the Commandments of the Lord our God; to walk in his ways, to fear him, to do whatís required of us, to love him, to serve the Lord God with all our hearts and soul? Almost to the end will we endure? There are some things in life that will take us out but will we go out with Christ nonetheless? Will we continue to worship him in the beauty of holiness forsaking all else? Or will we turn to what is convenient to do in the flesh? We are to fear God for it is the beginning of wisdom, a good understanding that praise will endure the test of the time we are in. We canít be wise in our own eyes for we canít see how to depart from evil we must rely on God.

Donít let grace run out, hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man. Donít be rash with our mouth that we throw away the grace of God for we need his divine unmerited favor in all things. Our heart will faint when we are too hasty to utter things before God that we ourselves donít mean. God is in heaven and takes what we say so let our words be few that we donít make ourselves a liar before Him. Jesus brought us grace; He said we should worship the Lord thy God and him only shall we serve (Matthew 4:10). He did it how much more should we? We too are to obey God rather than man. We are almost to the end of the race donít let grace run out on us!

Today do you want to keep the love of God? Many start in a race but only a few make it to the end. Many do a great work in the earth but never make it to heaven! Many donít complete the work they started but thank God he sets in place their replacement. God will finish, will we? Today take the step needed to begin the race and remember the race is not given to the swift or to the strong but to the one that endure to the end. Understanding the work will make us make the sacrifices needed to fulfill and finish it. Because we are big in stature doesnít mean we will win the race; actually big can be a hindrance if pride is set in. Be that living sacrifice today to go the extra mile, receive Christ and begin the journey. Life is a transition from earth to glory. Abel didnít know he was almost to the end of his life when he made the decision to give God the more of his labor through a sacrificial offering. His sacrifice cost him his life, as did Jesus and Paul after him but they endured to the end.

We too can go to heaven if when we get to the end and grace does not run out on us. Donít let grace run out, we are almost to the end of whatever we are going through. Stay with God, finish the course. Jesus is coming back again the transfiguration will happen as he said. That glorified manifestation of the greatness of Jesus will appear to us as it did to the disciples, Peter, James, and John. It gave them evidence that Jesus had a mission from God and helped to prepare Jesus Himself for the trying days that were before Him. He Himself is here to help us today if we open up and receive him. He will help us to prepare to meet the Father. Come to him, Salvation is here, grace is here. His righteousness is here, we donít have to establish our own in ignorance anymore. Submit to the righteousness of God for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.

He is here; if any man sin he is our advocate with the Father. He in here for all that will call on his name to save us. He will purge us of our sin and give us rest. We are almost to the end, donít let grace run out!
