The Rain falls ever gently so
Gliding down from heaven
Breaking through the clouds
To land on home earth at last.
O the renewing rain!
You follow the season set by the Creator
He who deigned to shower from above
Replenished days to reaffirm and vivify.
O the racing rain!
A drizzle rhyme at times
A downpour on the other
I waited for the rain effect a long, long time.
O the drifting rain!
What is this relationship we share?
At one point your glance embraces me
In the next flash it alienates me.
O the fateful rain!
You turn up at odd times and places
Morn and eve over the bridge and roads
Your silhouette I know from behind closed doors.
O the saturating rain!
You cast a plentitude of heightened moments
Intensifying the well of emotions in my heart
To match the drenching in my eyes.
O the immersing rain!
When I go away from here
You will search and find my shadow left behind
An indication of a shared presence.
O the soaking rain!
If you miss me in my absence
Submerge yourself in my memory
I will be there in your recapturing moment.
O the dipping rain!
When the season bids adieu
You will retrace your steps into the clouds
Now a stranger on home soil.
O the unforgettable rain!
You will always be remembered
Having spent this season with you from both close and far
Near at hand and in a passing moment.
O the ambrosial rain!
A misty incense waft on meeting with earth
A soulful raindrop moment chosen as the best
A rain beat tune in the poem of the heart
Written in the waters that gave life to the springs of time.
