Life can throw many curve balls with such force that it sometimes leaves one to feel as though they can't catch a break.
During these times, if we are honest, the last thing we really want to hear is some well meaning person say Hold on don't give up...change is a comin". Not only does it seem that change is not a coming but it may very well be too late. Emotionally and physically you are simply drained. Worn out. Exhausted.
At the risk of being just another one of those well meaning people, Im gonna say Hold on
don't give up. Change is a comin. And during your wait please remember;
cheerfully expectant. Don't quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Romans 12:12
The Message Bible
During tough times remember to maintain some level of joy. Not joy about the situation but the kind of joy that says you are expecting to come through this.
Dont quit. Someone, somewhere, has experienced the similar level of crisis as you are facing. Just as God got them through He is capable of doing the same for you.
Pray even harder. Not just about your situation but take this time to pray for others too. Offer prayers of praise and thanksgiving unto God. Force yourself to hone in on one or two things that will help you recall just how blessed you are. In spite of what you are going through.
Lastly, realize that one day you will have a testimony to share. And when you do you will come to understand that what you went through was not just for you.
Testimonies have a powerful way of strengthening others during their times of crisis. Allow this to provide yet another reason for you to hold on and not give up. Someone will thank you one day and say It was your testimony that God used to get me through.
